{"id":35762,"date":"2015-02-03T11:26:46","date_gmt":"2015-02-03T10:26:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=35762"},"modified":"2015-02-03T11:26:46","modified_gmt":"2015-02-03T10:26:46","slug":"daniel-idonor-frontiersnews-executive-editor-passes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/daniel-idonor-frontiersnews-executive-editor-passes\/","title":{"rendered":"Daniel Idonor, FrontiersNews Executive Editor Passes On"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1422958617026_2507\" class=\"base-card-body\" style=\"color: #000000;\">\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1422958617026_2455\" class=\"msg-body inner  undoreset\" tabindex=\"0\">\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1422958617026_2508\" class=\"email-wrapped\">\n<p>The management of Frontiers Alliance Communications Limited publishers of<br \/>\nFrontiers Newspapers Online announced the death of its Executive Editor<br \/>\nand a very dear friend, Mr. Daniel Ovwigho Idonor.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Idonor popularly called &#8220;Chair&#8221; by his colleagues in the media, passed<br \/>\naway on Monday afternoon, at the Nigerian Air Force Hospital, Abuja, after<br \/>\na protracted illness.<\/p>\n<p>He was aged 45.<\/p>\n<p>A devoted Christian, who was a Deacon with the Living Faith Ministry,<br \/>\nAbuja, Mr. Idonor was also a one time Chairman of the State House Press<br \/>\nCorps, Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The late Mr. Idonor started his journalism career at the Nigerian<br \/>\nTelevision Authority (NTA) Bauchi and at different times worked for<br \/>\nChampion and Vanguard Newspapers respectively before he ventured into<br \/>\nonline publishing.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Idonor served meritoriously as the Chairman of the State House Press<br \/>\nCorps before he entered the mainstream nation\u2019s politics under the banner<br \/>\nof the ruling People\u2019s Democratic Party (PDP) where he aspired to<br \/>\nrepresent his senatorial district in 2013 before he was advised to step<br \/>\nthem by the party hierarchy.<\/p>\n<p>He was a top contender for the House of Representatives primary election<br \/>\nin his Ughelli-Udu Federal Constituency, in Delta State under the platform<br \/>\nof the PDP before he withdrew from the race early December 2014.<\/p>\n<p>He would be greatly missed by his family, colleagues, the Urhobo nation<br \/>\nand numerous students who had benefited immensely from his scholarship<br \/>\nprogramme.<br \/>\nComrade Idonor is survived by a wife and four children.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"base-card-clear\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The management of Frontiers Alliance Communications Limited publishers of Frontiers Newspapers Online announced the death of its Executive Editor and a very dear friend, Mr. Daniel Ovwigho Idonor.
