It is obvious that Chief General Olusegun Obasanjo hates Nigeria and<\/p>\n
Nigerians with a passion. His disdain for Nigeria is immeasurable. After
\nhis third term bid fell and collapsed like a pack of cards, he is angry
\nwith everybody especially his estranged godson who has jettisoned him for
\na more accommodating godfather? When he discovered that his many open
\nletters had no effect on President Jonathan whatsoever, he decided to bind
\nthem into a book titled \u2018My Watch\u2019<\/p>\n
Please my readers do not crucify me yet for the above statement of facts
\nabout Chief Obasanjo. Let us cast our mind back to the year of our Lord
\n2010 and 2011. That was the year of the last elections in Nigeria. Chief
\nOlusegun Obasanjo was all over the place campaigning for the then
\npresidential candidate of the PDP, Dr Goodluck Jonathan. In fact that was
\nthe year Chief Obasanjo made that his infamous statement of the election
\nbeing a \u201cdo or die affair\u201d Dr Goodluck Jonathan\u2019s major challenger then as
\nit is now is still Major General Muhammadu Buhari who unfortunately had
\nlost in the same elections to General Obasanjo in 2003 and Alhaji Umaru
\nYar\u2019 Adua in 2011.<\/p>\n
Fast forward now to the year 2015, the year of another election. So many
\nindices have since changed since 2011. All effort made by Chief Obasanjo
\nto remain Chairman Board of Trustee of the PDP has failed. His effort too
\nto break up the PDP through the former rebel governors has still failed.
\nHe had an anointed candidate for the PDP\u2019s presidential election for 2015,
\nyet it still failed.<\/p>\n
Goodluck Jonathan it seems has come of age and has since taken off the
\nyolk of OBJ off his neck. That was where the problem started. In my
\narticle titled:-\u201cOlusegun Obasanjo; the Frustration of a Defeated and
\nFailed GodFather.\u201d which was graciously published by many media in
\nDecember 2013, it was obvious that Chief Olusegun Obasanjo will bear his
\nfangs full blast against Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 presidential
\nelection.<\/p>\n
Let us remain General Olusegun Obasanjo here of the perpetrators and
\ncauses of the post presidential election riots of 2011 as reported by the
\npress both local and internationally. The author of election violence and
\nriots right from Adam has been Major General Muhammadu Buhari with his
\nunguarded utterances and his wild almajiri supporters in the far North of
\nNigeria.<\/p>\n

\nheavy gunfire rang out in several towns as election officials released
\nresults showing the Christian incumbent had gained an insurmountable lead.<\/p>\n
Results from Saturday\u2019s election released live on national television
\nindicated President Goodluck Jonathan had a commanding lead of more than
\n10 million votes with only two states left to be announced. The Muslim
\nnorth had largely voted for former military ruler Muhammadu Buhari widely
\nbelieved to be a Muslim fanatic.<\/p>\n

BBC World Service: Riots have broken out across northern Nigeria as
\npresidential poll results show Goodluck Jonathan is set to win.<\/p>\n
Homes of supporters of Mr Jonathan, the incumbent, were attacked in the
\ncities of Kano and Kaduna.<\/p>\n
Young Muslim supporters of Muhammadu Buhari, who is popular in the north,
\nhave been clashing with police and military. They feel that the elections
\nhave been rigged in some areas of the south.<\/p>\n
There are unconfirmed reports that people have died in the violence.<\/p>\n
President Jonathan has called for an end to the disturbances, saying
\n“no-one’s political ambition is worth the blood of any Nigerian”.<\/p>\n
With nearly all the votes counted, People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
\ncandidate Mr Jonathan – a Christian from the oil-producing Niger Delta –
\nhas almost twice the number of his main rival.<\/p>\n
The African Union observer team said it was Nigeria’s best poll for decades.<\/p>\n
(Reuters) – Post-election riots in northern Nigeria have killed at least
\n50 people in major cities alone, according to a tally from witnesses and
\nrescue workers, but the overall death toll is believed to be much higher.<\/p>\n
Hundreds have been injured and thousands displaced by violence across the
\nmostly-Muslim north after President Goodluck Jonathan won weekend
\nelections. His rival, northerner and ex-military ruler Muhammadu Buhari,
\nsays the vote was rigged.<\/p>\n
Looking at the above headlines and even the way the supporters of Major
\nGeneral Buhari still behave as they have shown in Bauchi, Gombe, Yola,
\nKaduna, Kano and even Abuja shows clearly that General Buhari and his
\nsupporters are violent people.<\/p>\n
It is clear without doubt that Dr Goodluck Jonathan will clearly and
\nsurely win the 2015 presidential election with a landslide. Chief Obasanjo
\nwill not vote anyway. He can only make noise and that is it.<\/p>\n
As Nigerian, we cannot trust General Buhari with our collective destiny
\nfor now because of his antecedence as an Islamic fundamentalist.<\/p>\n
Secondly his new associates, benefactors and sponsors like Bola Tinubu,
\nRotimi Amaechi, Bukola Saraki are the global face of corruption from
\nNigeria.<\/p>\n
Major General Muhammadu Buhari is not a man of honour and not a man of his
\nwords. He cried openly and wept profusely during his world press
\nconference in April 2011 that he will not contest any election in Nigeria
\nagain. This is in addition to the fact that he served under the most
\ncorrupt government in living memory of Nigerians under General Sani Abacha
\nas PTF chairman. He has gone back to his vomit and has swallowed his words
\nand is contesting again in 2015!<\/p>\n
Most importunately, those of us from the North are aware of General
\nBuhari\u2019s overt and covert support of Boko Haram. He has always referred to
\nthem as so called \u2018Boko Haram\u2019 in all his speeches. He has never come out
\nto condemn Boko Haram atrocities especially again the Northern
\nChristians.<\/p>\n

Major General Mohammadu Buhari is not electable for the following reasons:-<\/p>\n
1. General Buhari\u2019s overt and physical support for the Boko Haram Islamic
\nterrorists is not in doubt as his following utterances are clear evidence.<\/p>\n
On Thursday, November 1st 2012, Boko Haram Islamic terrorists nominated
\nMajor General Muhammadu Buhari as the team leader of those who will
\ndialogue with the government on their behalf. Clearly the relationship
\nthat Boko Haram has with Buhari could not be in doubt.<\/p>\n
We cannot therefore submit to the Boko Haram blackmail by electing their
\nmain backer as Nigerian president.<\/p>\n
2. As if to confirm the special relationship he has with the Boko Haram
\nIslamic terrorists, General Buhari confirmed that on Sunday, June 2, 2013
\nin a program on Liberty FM Radio Kaduna. Vintage General Buhari confirmed
\nhis open support for the Boko Haram terrorists when he protested
\nvehemently the military crackdown on the terrorists. In that interview
\nwith LIBERTY FM Radio Kaduna, Buhari,has this to say, while the
\nNiger-Delta were treated like kings, the Jama\u2019atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda\u2019Awati
\nWal-Jihad which some people call Boko Haram are being killed and their
\nhouses destroyed unlike the special treatment given to the Niger Delta
\nmilitants. This is injustice to Northern Nigeria.<\/p>\n
Hear General Buhari as reported again by Punch Newspaper of Monday, 3rd
\nJune 2013:-<\/p>\n
Presidential candidate for the Congress for Progressive Change in the 2011
\nPresidential election, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has frowned on
\nthe emergency rule in parts of the North. He alleged that innocent
\ncivilians were being killed in the states.<\/p>\n
Buhari speaking during a Liberty FM Hausa Service Programme, Guest of the
\nWeek, on Sunday in Kaduna said that Boko Haram members were being killed
\nand their houses demolished unlike the \u201cspecial treatment\u201d given to the
\nNiger Delta militants by the Federal Government.<\/p>\n
The Niger Delta militants started it all. What happened is that the
\ngovernors of the Niger Delta at that time wanted to win their elections,
\nso they recruited youths and gave guns and bullets to them to use against
\ntheir opponents to win elections by force.<\/p>\n
This is a statement by one of Obasanjo\u2019s boys made about General Buhari in
\n2010:-<\/p>\n
We find it very sad that an elder statesman who once presided over the
\nentirety of Nigeria can reduce himself to a regional leader who speaks for
\nonly a part of Nigeria. We now understand what his prot\u00e9g\u00e9 and former
\nMinister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Malam Nasir El\u2019Rufai,
\nmeant when he wrote in a public letter in October of 2010, telling
\nNigerians that Buhari remains \u201cperpetually unelectable\u201d and that Buhari\u2019s
\n\u201dinsensitivity to Nigeria\u2019s diversity and his parochial focus are already
\nwell-known.\u201d<\/p>\n

In summary, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo\u2019s phobia of Dr Goodluck Jonathan is a
\ncarryover of his frustration having lost his relevance in the PDP and the
\nJonathan government post March 28th 2015 election.<\/p>\n
