Contrary to claims by the Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign organization, the All Progressive Congress (APC) standard bearer’s name is not listed by the Chatham House as speaker any time soon.<\/p>\n
Spokesman, Malam Garba Shehu said Buhari is expected to hold meetings with key members of the British political establishment and interact with some global institutions with stakeholder interest in the affairs of Nigeria.
\n\u201cHe would give a talk at the prestigious foreign policy hub, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House London,\u201d the statement said<\/p>\n

The event’s keynote speakers are; former\u00a0Brazil Minister of Defence, Celsius Amorin; UK Parliamentary Under
\nSecretary of State and Minister of Defence Equipment Support and\u00a0Technology, Celsius Amorin; Chief of the Defence Staff, UK Ministry of\u00a0Defence, General Sir Nicholas Houghton; Chief Executive of BAE System,\u00a0Ian King and Secretary General, Cooperation Council for the Arab\u00a0States of the Gulf, Dr Abdulatif Bin Rashid Al Zayani.<\/p>\n
It was also learnt that Buhari is being treated at a hospital located\u00a0at Cavendish Street, Cavendish Square, W2 London West End, London.”<\/p>\n
Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose, \u00a0described the medical trip as a vindication of his earlier stand that\u00a0Buhari was sick and lacked the required capacity to rule Nigeria.<\/p>\n
He said; “as against the claim of the APC that Bihari was on a short\u00a0working visit to the UK, Buhari is being treated at a hospital located\u00a0at Cavendish Street, Cavendish Square, W2 London West End, London.”<\/p>\n
Speaking through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and\u00a0Media, Lere Olayinka, the governor described claim by the APC that\u00a0Buhari will give a talk at the Royal Institute of International\u00a0Affairs, Chatham House, London as “deceit taken too far.”<\/p>\n
He said; ” This is not to mock Buhari or wish him dead. Rather, it is to expose\u00a0the falsehood of the APC and desperation of its leaders, especially\u00a0Senator Bola Tinubu to foist another Yar’Adua saga on Nigeria.”

“If the APC people are saying otherwise, let them publish the picture\u00a0of Buhari boarding the plane and granting interview to Aviation\u00a0Correspondents at the Abuja Airport.<\/p>\n
“While I am happy that the APC people that are packaging Buhari\u00a0finally hearkened to my plea that they should allow him (Buhari) to\u00a0seek medicare abroad, I must say that it is unpatriotic for the APC\u00a0to have lied that Buhari traveled on a working visit.”<\/p>\n
