Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said Nigerians will never
\nsuccumb to the deceit and falsehood of the All Progressives Congress
\n(APC), saying; \u201cIt is self deceit taken too far for anyone to list
\nEkiti as part of States to be won by the APC in the Saturday\u2019s
\npresidential election.\u201d<\/p>\n
The governor urged Nigerians to disregard the orchestrated opinion
\npolls being published since Saturday in some newspapers, adding that;
\n\u201cFake opinion polls won\u2019t assist the APC, the way it did not assist
\nthe party in the June 21, 2014 Ekiti governorship election.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Assistant on Public
\nCommunications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said
\nPresident Goodluck Jonathan will win the Saturday election, no matter
\nhow hard the APC try in their game of deceit and falsehood.\u201d<\/p>\n
Governor Fayose said; \u201cWhen I saw the publications yesterday and
\ntoday, I just laughed because I wondered how people can be so happy
\ndeceiving themselves.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you are telling yourself that Buhari will win in Ekiti, it shows
\nthat you are suffering from Acquired Self-deceit Syndrome (ASS), which
\nis even more deadly than ebola disease.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s the same way they deceived themselves with orhestrated opinion
\npolls before the Ekiti election, and up till now, they are still dazed
\nby the 16 \u2013 0 defeat.<\/p>\n
\u201cFunny enough, one of the newspapers that published the orchestrated
\nopinion polls described Ido-Osi Local Government Area of Ekiti State
\nas a \u2018sleepy town\u2019 thinking that Ido-Osi was a town.\u201d<\/p>\n
He urged the APC\u00a0 to \u201cstop lying and face the reality of a lost
\nelection because President Jonathan will win convincingly.\u201d<\/p>\n
Governor Fayose described claim by the APC that there was \u201ca plan to
\nfreeze the accounts of companies, individuals and organisations
\nbelieved to be financing the party, with the ultimate objective of
\ncrippling the party so it won\u2019t be able to sustain its activities,
\nlike paying its agents on Election Day and other logistics,\u201d as a face
\nsaving tactic by the APC.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are already preparing the minds of their gullible supporters for
\nthe impending electoral woe that will befall the party on Saturday.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen they lose, they will come out with story of how inability of the
\nparty financiers like Senator Bola Tinubu, Governor Rotimi Amaechi and
\nothers to access funds made Buhari to lose.<\/p>\n
\u201cI sympathise with them and I can only urge the APC and its leaders to
\ntry their luck in 2019. But then, they must purge themselves of the
\nAcquired Self-deceit Syndrome because Nigeria presidency cannot be
