As the build-up to the election continues, the momentum is swinging more and more to the underdog, Jimi Agbaje. It is pretty easy to see why as the down-to-earth politician is a rare breed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Below are seven reasons why everyone loves Jimi Agbaje and why the JK is OK movement is garnering a lot of followers by the second.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

  1. \n

    He<\/b><\/span>\u00a0is Smart:<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    Jimi\u00a0Agbaje\u00a0is unarguably one of the smartest politicians around<\/span>. This is even more evident when you hear him speak. He is articulate and one of the best public speakers in the country.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Clean Hands:\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      Unlike most politicians, Jimi\u00a0Agbaje\u00a0has never been involved in any graft or scandal which makes him a role model of some sorts to aspiring politicians, considering that politics is usually considered an exercise to get one’s hands dirty. Jimi\u00a0Agbaje\u00a0is a far cry from the regular Nigerian politician and h<\/span>is track record in the private sector speaks for him.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. Jimi\u00a0Agbaje\u00a0has a history of fighting\u00a0for a better government:<\/b><\/span>\n

        JK\u2019s political genesis can be traced to the aftermath of the 1993 presidential election. According to him, he saw the annulment of the result as an insult on the Nigerian people and got into politics to change the status qup. Over the years,\u00a0Agbaje\u00a0has been involved in a number of resistance movements seeking for a better society. This informed his early rapport with notable figures like\u00a0Pat\u00a0Utomi,\u00a0Dr\u00a0Ayo\u00a0Ighodaro,\u00a0Asue\u00a0Ighodalo, Billy Lawson,\u00a0Oby\u00a0Ezekwesili,\u00a0Tola\u00a0Mobolurin, among others. It is widely\u00a0belived\u00a0that the equitable society Jimi has always sought after will be easily realized if given the mandate.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          \n
        1. He has a rich professional resume:\u00a0<\/b><\/span>\n

          Asides currently sitting on the board of a number of renowned companies, Jimi\u00a0Agbaje\u00a0boasts an illustrious\u00a0resume. From 1987 to 1990, Jimi\u00a0Agbaje\u00a0served as National Secretary of Nigerian Association, General Practice.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>From 1990 to 1993, Mr.\u00a0Agbaje\u00a0held various professional appointments which include National Chairman of Nigerian Association of General Practice Pharmacists.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>From 1994 to 1997, he served as Chairman of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (Lagos State). He also was Chairman of 1994 National Conference Planning Committee of the Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria.<\/span>\u00a0In the year 2000, Jimi\u00a0Agbaje\u00a0served as the\u00a0<\/span>National Treasurer of\u00a0Afenifere, more proof that public funds are indeed safe with him.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Jimi\u2019s manifesto is compelling:\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

            Have you seen and read his manifesto? You should visit his website\u00a0<\/span>www.jimiagbaje.com<\/span><\/a>\u00a0and see for yourself. His ideas are plain for all to see and are driven towards the development of Lagos. Anybody who sees that manifesto and doesn\u2019t throw his weight behind\u00a0Agbaje\u2019s\u00a0bid must not love Lagos and Nigeria at large.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              He is a enviable father and husband:\u00a0<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

              Jimi\u00a0Agbaje\u00a0met his wife\u00a0Abiola\u00a0Agbaje\u00a0 (Bankole) at the then University of Ife (now University of Ibadan), and has stuck with her until now, with their three children. Unlike most randy politicians, Jimi is known as a loyal husband which has seen him carve a niche as a loving family man and many are testament to his fatherly responsibilities.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Jimi\u00a0 is the Change Lagos needs:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                For the past 16 years, Lagos has been ruled by a single group of people\/persons although their name has changed over time, they are still the same set of people.
