A Lagos based human rights activist and Executive Chairman, Centre for
\nHuman Rights and Social Justice (CHRSJ), Comrade Adeniyi Alimi
\nSulaiman has called on the President-elect, General Muhammadu Buhari
\n(rtd) to call the members of his All Progressives Congress (APC),
\nparticularly, its lawmakers to order by eschewing their orchestrated
\nongoing political violence in Ekiti State which lead to the killing of
\none Modupe Olaiya.<\/p>\n

He insisted that the nineteen (19) All Progressives Congress (APC)
\norchestrated the crisis in the State as a result of his (Buhari)
\nrecent victory during the last Presidential election, saying that it
\nwould not be augur well for his new administration to inherit any man
\nmade political crisis in any state of the federation because the well
\nmeaning Nigerians were working assiduously to tackle the security
\nchallenges facing the land, especially, in the North-Eastern part of
\nthe country, adding that \u201ca word is enough for the wise\u201d<\/p>\n

According to him, in a signed statement which a copy was made
\navailable to newsmen in Lagos yesterday, strongly condemned \u201cGeneral
\nBuhari\u2019s siddon look style\u201d over the mind boggling political crisis
\nrocking the state over an alleged impeachment notice by the nineteen
\n(19) members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of the State
\nAssembly, disagreeing with General Buhari on his leadership style.<\/p>\n

CHRSJ boss who described the Buhari\u2019s inability to control his members
\nas his weakness nature of his life style in both public and private
\nlife and he might not be able to rule the country well in years to
\ncome, urging the people of the country to be at alert and watchful
\nduring the reign of Buhari\u2019s presidency.<\/p>\n

Comrade Sulaiman who is also the Convener, Save Lagos Group (SLG),
\nstressed that for General Buhari not to have capacity to call his
\nparty lawmakers to order, shown the kind of leadership, the people of
\nthe country should be expecting from him in the next four years, noted
\nthat \u201cBuhari and APC leaders show that they are satisfied with the
\nongoing political crisis in Ekiti State,Southwestern Nigeria which
\nlives of the citizens are involved\u201d.<\/p>\n

His words:\u201dAs a leader of the party in the country now and with this
\ndevelopment and for General Muhammadu Buhari\u2019s failure to stop his
\nparty men from this political imbroglio between the APC lawmakers and
\nan elected Governor of Ekiti State and the said crisis has claimed the
\nlife of a fellow human being, this shows the kind of leadership style,
\npeople of the country should be expecting from Buhari for good four
\nyears, what a partial leader?.<\/p>\n

\u201cGeneral Buhari needs to quickly learn about the democratic ethos
\nwhere the dignity and rights of human life will be respected, which
\ndifferent from his military background where anything goes.Buhari
\nshould take a positive position now for the interest of development of
\nthe State and as a way to bring the lasting peace to the people of the
\nState. Also, Buhari should emulate the magnanimity of President
\nGoodluck Jonathan in defeat during the last Presidential election. If
\nBuhari is turning deaf ear to the current violence in the State and it
\nmeans, his administration is going to inherit many political crisis
\nfrom all the part of the country that may impede the success of his
\nadministration\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
