We recently alerted the world that the APC and its governorship candidate, Aisha, would be busy, in the intervening period before the re-run election slated for April 25th<\/sup>, 2015 and try to cause disaffections among the Taraba electorate. In fact, we submitted that this was why the Returning Officer, Professor Mohammed Kyari, said the elections were inconclusive. He wanted to buy time for Aisha so that she can mount an aggressive negative outreach with the aim of distorting facts and figures as far as the elections were concerned.\u00a0\u00a0We specifically pointed out that Aisha would try to create confusion, spread falsehoods and try to scuttle the wishes of the Taraba people. This is her stock in trade. She would continue to gripe and whine until she causes total confusion in the state and the nation in general all because of the shame of losing big in the election.<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

She proved us right. She is now going about making all sorts of noises all over the place. In interviews after interviews, Aisha wants to dominate the airwaves by lying about the true position of the election in Taraba state. She addressed a Press Conference yesterday, for instance, were she comically called for the cancellations of all the results in the 11 LGA\u2019s were she lost elections. It was yet another suicidal attempt by the self-styled Amazon to thwart the will of our people. Don\u2019t forget that Aisha\u2019s tantrums have already led to the cancellations of results in the entire Donga LGA and many units in the state. Donga results in 165 units were savagely cancelled because 5 wards had issues!\u00a0\u00a0In many other cancellations, there were no cogent reasons given. Yet, even after all the cancellations, Aisha is still trailing behind Darius with 54, 813 votes. This is the figure that is giving her all the nightmares and making her dance naked in public.<\/b><\/p>\n

Predictably, Aisha would soon follow up this media hype by sponsoring all sorts of rallies by \u201ccivil societies\u201d and some dramatic supports from paid organizations (especial women groups). Her hope is that with all a lot of protests and confusion, the world would unilaterally just dash her Taraba state. She is in for a huge surprise then.<\/b><\/p>\n

One of Aisha\u2019s tricks is to claim to be the underdog who is being rigged out by a powerful PDP. The desperate lady wants to take advantage of the natural kind heartedness of Nigerians to hood wink them into falling for the \u201cI\u2019m just an old woman whom they want to cheat\u201d mantra.<\/b><\/p>\n

But discerning and intelligent Nigerians must have seen through her. They must have read between the lines to see this game and how she is trying to play up sentiments of gender and religion.<\/b><\/p>\n

Yet, elections are not won on the basis of sympathies or other sentiments. They are won by clear cut choice of the people.<\/b><\/p>\n

We make bold to say that Aisha has lost this election already. There is no intelligent mind that would not know this: that the PDP and its candidate, Arc. Darius Ishaku is just too formidable for her and her party.<\/b><\/p>\n

The PDP has so far won all the senatorial seats of the state in a demonstration of this dominance.<\/b><\/p>\n

It has won almost all the Houses of Assembly in a further demonstration of this superiority.<\/b><\/p>\n

There is no way for instance Aisha can hope to win elections in PDP strong holds like Takum, Wukari and Donga. And in most of the local; governments where she is calling for cancellations, if elections are held one hundred times there, she would still lose. This is a simple fact of the political configuration of the state. So what is she talking about?\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

INEC\u2019s task.<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

It is really now up to INEC to prove itself. Can Aisha be dictating to the body as if it is her NGO?<\/b><\/p>\n

Would INEC continue to cancel election results just because Aisha wants it?<\/b><\/p>\n

Can INEC be use to thwart the wishes of the majority of Taraba voters?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

Would INEC now reverse itself and make more cancellations especially of results it has already admitted?<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

The world is watching.<\/b><\/p>\n
