The newly elected Lawmakers in Ekiti State have described the
\nimpeachment plot against the State governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose and his
\nDeputy, Dr Olusola Eleka as personal agenda of the impeached former
\nSpeaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr Adewale Omirin and the All
\nProgressives Congress (APC) Senator representing Ekiti Central,
\nBabafemi Ojudu.<\/p>\n

The lawmakers-elect called on stakeholders in the State, especially
\ntraditional rulers to prevail on Omirin and Ojudu not to throw the
\nState into chaos just because of their ambition to be Acting governor
\nand governor respectively.<\/p>\n

The lawmakers-elect, who spoke under the aegis of Conference of Ekiti
\nState Lawmakers-elect, said in a release issued on Monday and signed
\nby Chief Gboyega Aribisogan, Hon Segun Adewumi and Adeniran Alagbada,
\nsaid; “whoever that is interested in the Ekiti State Governorship
\nposition should wait till 2018.”<\/p>\n

The statement read; “What we are witnessing in Ekiti is borne out of
\nthe desperation of Ojudu to be governor.<\/p>\n

“Ojudu has found an ally in Omirin, who is yet to come to reality as
\nto the failure of the prophesy his spiritualist gave him last year
\nthat he will be acting governor.<\/p>\n

“It was this same Ojudu’s desperation to be governor that made him to
\nlead the onslaught that led to Governor Fayose’s removal in 2006. We
\nall know what that action caused us in Ekiti.<\/p>\n

“Ekiti people should therefore know that what Omirin and a few of his
\ncolleagues are fighting for is neither the interest of Ekiti nor that
\nof the APC. Rather, it is Omirin’s personal interest and that of
\nSenator Ojudu and his Action Group APC.<\/p>\n

“The question we therefore wish that Nigerians should ask Ojudu is why
\nhe did not seek reelection as a senator? How can a man who failed
\nEkiti people as a senator be behind those who are throwing stones at
\nthe State from outside?<\/p>\n

“How can a man like Ojudu, who shunned the\u00a0 burial of his own father
\nbe the one to dictate the direction Ekiti State should go after the
\npeople had spoken five times through their votes?<\/p>\n

“Ekiti people should therefore know who their enemies. The main
\nenemies are Omirin and Ojudu and their motivation is their inordinate
\nambition to be Acting governor and governor respectively.”<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
