{"id":38364,"date":"2015-05-06T10:58:11","date_gmt":"2015-05-06T09:58:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=38364"},"modified":"2015-05-06T10:58:11","modified_gmt":"2015-05-06T09:58:11","slug":"buhari-meets-apc-governors","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/buhari-meets-apc-governors\/","title":{"rendered":"Buhari meets APC Governors"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1430905745920_2865\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: justify;\">\u00a0The \u00a0All Progressives Congress&#8217; governors Tuesday met\u00a0\u00a0 with President-elect Muhammadu Buhari to discuss the\u00a0 state of the Nigerian economy.<\/div>\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1430905745920_2863\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: justify;\">The Chairman of the APC Governors forum and governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, who briefed reporters at the end of the meeting that held at the Defence House Abuja, said the country\u2019s economy is in such bad shape that no state has been able to pay salaries of its workers.<\/div>\n<div style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1430905745920_2872\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: justify;\">\n<p>On the rumoured submission of ministerial nominees to the President-elect, Okorocha simply remarked that it was \u201ctoo early in the day\u201d to do that.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1430905745920_2871\">He said the names would be submitted as \u201csoon as necessary<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: justify;\">\u201cAs it stands today, most states of the federation have not been able to pay salaries, even the Federal Government has not been able to pay their April salary and that is worrisome,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1430905745920_2873\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: justify;\">\u201cBy May \/June, that will be three months and with the huge expectations of the people who voted for us into office, we are hoping that the president-elect will do all that is humanly possible to bring a bail out not only on the states, but the Federal Government as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1430905745920_2874\" style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: justify;\">Okorocha also said the APC governors have seen a reason to work together with\u00a0 Buhari in order to bring about the change that Nigerians are yearning for.<\/p>\n<div style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe also call on our brothers in the other parties to join us to build the Nigeria of our dreams.\u201d<\/div>\n<div style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1430905745920_2878\" style=\"color: #000000;\">\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1430905745920_2877\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0The \u00a0All Progressives Congress&#8217; governors Tuesday met\u00a0\u00a0 with President-elect Muhammadu Buhari to discuss the\u00a0 state of the Nigerian economy.
