Youths in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State, under<\/p>\n
the aegis of Ekiti APC Youths Congress (EAYC) have said that no amount
\nof press releases from Lagos based chop I chop civil rights groups
\ncan exonerate the Senator representing Ekiti Central senatorial
\ndistrict, Babafemi Ojudu from his destabilisation roles in the State.<\/p>\n
The youths said Senator Ojudu should rather come out clean on the
\nroles he played against the governments of Otunba Niyi Adebayo between
\n1999 and 2003, Ayodele Fayose between 2003 and 2006, Engr Segun Oni
\nbetween 2007 and 2010, and the roles he played immediately Dr Kayode
\nFayemi lost the June 21, 2014 governorship election.<\/p>\n
Reacting to a statement credited to the Nigerian Human Rights
\nCommunity (NHRC), the APC youths said in a press statement issued on
\nThursday and jointly signed by Mr Tope Ogunkuade and Comrade Tunji
\nAdeleye, Convener and Secretary respectively, that Senator Ojudu
\nshould be ashamed that he had to recruit people from Lagos to speak in
\nhis defence.<\/p>\n
The Nigerian Human Rights Community (NHRC), which claimed to be a
\ncoalition of 35 civil rights groups, had called on Senator Ojudu to
\nintensify the campaign for the impeachment of Governor AyodeleFayose.<\/p>\n
However, in its reaction, EAYC said; If the ultimate beneficiary of
\nFayose\u2122s impeachment will be someone like Senator Ojudu, we youths in
\nthe APC will wash our hands off it. This is because as a senator,
\nOjudu cannot point to one single youth in the APC that he assisted.
\nEven his father\u2122s house in Ado-Ekiti, he left it in dilapidated form.<\/p>\n
Apart from fighting against governors in the State and pulling their
\ngovernments down, Ojudu cannot point to one single benefit that he has
\nbrought to Ekiti before and now that he is a senator.<\/p>\n
We even wonder why he (Ojudu) is not ashamed that he had to recruit
\nfaceless civil rights groups from Lagos to defend him, instead of
\nyouths in Ekiti State rising up to defend him.<\/p>\n
The youths reiterated their warning to Senator Ojudu to retrace his
\nsteps, and stop leading rebellion against former Governor Kayode
\nFayemi, adding that; Fayemi is the only leader of the APC in Ekiti
\nState that we know.<\/p>\n
Ojudu and his Action Group can go and form their own party if they
\nwant a party which will be controlled by someone like Ojudu that
\ncannot win election even in his own father\u2122s house.<\/p>\n
