Miss Vivian\u00a0 Adaeze Nnamani, who represented the Federal Capital Territory (FCT),\u00a0 has emerged as Miss United Nations (Nigeria) while Miss Kessy Isong, representing Akwa Ibom state, emerged as her first runner up.<\/p>\n

The event was held last Saturday at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel,\u00a0 Abuja.<\/p>\n

There were five categories.\u00a0 Madueke Jaclyn emerged Miss Teen, Nigeria,\u00a0 United Nations;\u00a0 Kessy Isong was Miss Tourism Nigeria, United Nations;\u00a0 Tubosoye C. Dokubo,\u00a0 emerged Miss MS (Single Mum) United Nations;\u00a0 and the Mrs Nigeria,\u00a0 United Nations is Emem Chukwu Ebelechukwu.<\/p>\n

Each winner got a brand new car and $10,000 cash.<\/p>\n

They will represent Nigeria in July in Kingston, Jamaica.<\/p>\n

Organizer of the pageant,\u00a0 Miss United Nations Nigeria,\u00a0 2014, Precious Chikwendu,\u00a0 said using\u00a0 her Snow White Foundation NGO,\u00a0 she adopted a lifecycle approach of development, focusing its interventions on children, their families and the larger community with emphasis on the less privileged.<\/p>\n

According to her, beauty transcends the physical, is not just an outward thing, but the inner qualities of an individual.
\nShe maintained that beauty pageant had moved beyond wearing crown and cat-walking to impact positively on the society.<\/p>\n

The outgoing Queen, explained that the main focus of the pageant was to have volunteers who were ready to use beauty to add value to humanity.<\/p>\n

She held that it focuses on volunteer work, adding that each contestant must have a background in volunteer work for her community.
\n\u201cThis sisterhood strengthens them to see beyond their immediate surroundings and situations and extends their services across the globe.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs each contestant shares ideas of how she serves her community, more women would be strengthened and edified because their paths have crossed for good.\u201d she<\/p>\n

Present at the well attended event were wife of IGP, Mrs Arase, John Fashanu,\u00a0 who was a judge,\u00a0 Representative of Foreign Affairs minister of state, Musiliu Obanikoro,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mrs Funmi Ogbu, Miss Nigeria,\u00a0 Canada,\u00a0 Oby Benson, also a judge; Hollywood based Nigerian actress,\u00a0 Jennifer Oguzie, PMAN president,\u00a0 and a host of other dignitaries.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
