Indications emerged on Wednesday, June 3, 2015
\nthat Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo was \u2018locked
\nout\u2019 of President Muhammadu Buhari\u2019s meeting
\nwith the National Security Adviser on the orders of
\nthe President.
\nA top Government source who pleaded anonymity
\ndisclosed to The Trent on Wednesday that Vice-
\nPresident Osinbajo was refused \u2018security
\nclearance\u2019 to attend the meeting as a result of
\nsecurity concerns by the Commander-in-Chief
\nallegedly over what he described as a \u201cvery
\nsensitive meeting\u201d. According to the source, it was
\nthe thinking of the President that it was too early in
\nthe day to bring Vice-President Osinbajo into the
\nPresident\u2019s first security briefing.
\nThe June 1 meeting with NSA Sambo Dasuki,
\nwhich lasted for hours, was part of what sources
\ncalled \u201cdebriefing process\u201d and was done behind
\nclosed doors in the absence of the Vice-President.
\nDasuki remained with the president till after 4pm
\nwhen he left the Defence House, Daily Trust
\nreports.
\nBuhari and Vice-President Osinbajo are yet to
\nmove into the Presidential Villa, 6 days after their
\ninauguration.
