The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has said that<\/p>\n
with the way Lagos PDP is going, it is doomed to failure as it seems not
\nto have grasped the rudiments of productive politics in its desperation to
\ngrab power for furthering their well known looting tendency. The party
\nsaid that for a party that believes in hauling hollow, laughable and
\ntendentious gossip to stay alive, the PDP in Lagos seems to have accepted
\nthe fact that it is an irredeemable bad product.<\/p>\n
In a release in Lagos, signed by the Lagos State Publicity Secretary of
\nthe APC, Joe Igbokwe, the party said that Lagos PDP\u2019s call for Governor
\nAmbode to probe former Governor Fashola for some inchoate and laughable
\nreasons shows that Lagos PDP has lost it and is in a journey of self
\nderision and ridicule. It says it is not surprised that Lagos PDP
\ncontinues to demonstrate traits that show it as a jesting group that has
\nno meaningful thing to contribute to the growth and progress of Lagos.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs laughable and childish as PDP\u2019s latest rant is, we dare say that we
\nare not in the culture of dignifying confused thoughts of a cabal that is
\nyet to live down their continued horrible fate in the hands of Lagosians.
\nWith the historical defeat of the PDP from the center where they ran
\nNigeria to total bankruptcy and near collapse even with very bounteous oil
\nearning, it is not difficult to locate why Lagos PDP is hit by a gale of
\ntotal confusion that finds expression in the inchoate and disoriented
\nranting it spews out these days as press statements.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe achievements in Lagos for the past 16 years of progressive politics
\nneed no repetition here. Lagosians know them and feel them. Nigerians know
\nthese and trumpet it but the woeful losers in Lagos PDP have chosen self
\ndenial in the vain thoughts that this will help their inordinate desire to
\ncorner power in Lagos when they have shown complete failure in the sixteen
\nyears they have misused and abused power in Nigeria. Fact is that for
\nsixteen years, we have taught PDP a huge lesson in politics and leadership
\nbut they keep playing the ostrich thinking Lagosians are fools that will
\nfall for their gimmicks. This is why PDP had been failing and will
\ncontinue to fail in Lagos.
\n\u201cLet us recall the sordid events of the last electioneering period, when
\nout of desperation, the PDP practically relocated to Lagos, where the
\nformer president, Goodluck Jonathan, unleashed billions of illicit dollars
\nand pound sterlings to buy Lagosians, went and procured hoodlums and touts
\nof all shades and mobilized them to lay siege on Lagos and the APC with
\nthe hope of conquering Lagos, went and commissioned a very dangerous hate
\npolitics aimed at greatly dividing Lagosians along tribal lines,
\ncommissioned a cache of religious merchants to sell the rotten PDP message
\nbut these not only failed him and PDP woefully in Lagos but failed to
\nprevent the huge defeat he and PDP suffered in the general elections.
\n\u201cNow with the center gone, with all compliments of unrestrained federal
\nfunding, looting of SURE-P funds by chieftains of PDP in Lagos, as
\nelsewhere gone, with federal appointments gone and parastatals that the
\nLagos PDP chieftains freely feed from gone, the Lagos PDP in utter
\nconfusion, has resorted to making baseless demands and childish effusions
\nin the hope to keep their sinking boat afloat but they are struggling in
\nvain. We would have though that Lagos PDP would, for once, be moved by
\nmoral imperatives to demand that President Muhammadu Buhari probe and
\npunish the perpetrators of what is becoming the most horrifying economic
\ncrime done to Nigeria by the PDP mandarins especially in the past 16
\nyears. They are not, rather they are asking Governor Ambode to \u2018probe\u2019 the
\nposter regime for productive and accountable governance in this republic.
\nWhat a party?<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to let the lost and confused parodists in Lagos PDP know that
\nGovernor Ambode has hit the ground running just because he has a rich
\ntemplate of productive governance to continue with. That Lagos PDP is not
\nseeing these, which every other Nigerian sees, is not surprising for PDP
\nhas no known ability to recognize good governance anywhere. If it has, it
\nwouldn\u2019t have wrecked Nigeria in one demolishing spree that an oil rich
\ncountry is today cringing on all fours as the treasury has been emptied by
\nchieftains of PDP, among whom are those that now parade themselves as
\nchieftains of Lagos PDP.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe want to assist the Lagos PDP get their acts together. The party is a
\nbad product and must do away with their unproductive and corrupt leaders
\nfor it to mount any credible opposition to APC. We extend this magnanimous
\nadvice given that we, in Lagos APC, believes a viable opposition will help
\npoint out areas of deficiencies in the governance of Lagos but this has
\nbeen missed in PDP\u2019s laughable penchants to bandy puerile gossip,
\ninnuendoes, rumours and all forms of inchoate demands in the name of
\nopposition. Even as we know that the PDP is doomed nationally, as a result
\nof its sixteen years unrestrained megalomania, we want to let Lagos PDP
\nthat its fate will get worse in Lagos, as the APC government in the state
\nperfects its acts of bettering Lagosians for the good of all Lagosians and
