Against the backdrop of what was left in the nation\u2019s coffers by the Goodluck Jonathan\u2019s administration, Lagos lawyer, Festus Keyamo, has urged the Federal Government to publish the country\u2019s revenue accounts.<\/span><\/p>\n He said, on his Twitter handle Thursday \u00a0\u201cA new government says it met an empty treasury; the (former government) says it left plenty. Yet none publishes a full statement of the account.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n While the Muhammadu Buhari\u2019s administration claims it met an \u2018empty treasury\u2019, a former National Planning minister, Suleiman faulted the claim, and insisted Jonathan left funds in excess of $40 Billion in the coffers.<\/span><\/p>\n Keyamo also said the rebellion of some All Progressives Congress lawmakers in the National Assembly was because the party was formed \u201cin rebellion against the Peoples Democratic Party\u201d which had ruled the country for 16 years.<\/span><\/p>\n Reacting to the disagreement between past and present government officials over the looting of the country\u2019s treasury, Keyamo advised the government to publish the nation\u2019s revenue accounts in order to verify who was right or wrong.<\/span><\/p>\n The APC had been embroiled in an internal crisis since the emergence of Senator Bukola Saraki and Yakubu Dogara as the Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n Fresh crisis emerged on Thursday after Saraki and Dogara rejected the directive contained in a letter sent by the APC to the National Assembly over the selection of its principal officers.<\/span><\/p>\n The Lagos lawyer, therefore, asked the leaders of the APC to resolve its crisis with a clear understanding of its foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n Keyamo said, \u201cThe APC is a child of rebellion against the PDP. Its members in the National Assembly are products of that rebellion.
