Almost a year ago, during the formative stages of APC, I had warned
\nNigerians that PDP will not go down without a fight.\u00a0 I had written then
\nthat PDP and its supporters will not go down without pulling down the
\nhouse if the need be.\u00a0 I remember I warmed APC leaders, to put their acts
\ntogether, gird their loins and prepare for the great task ahead.<\/p>\n
Today, I know that what is playing itself out of the National Assembly
\nwill not be a surprise to APC and I know they have the common sense to
\ndefeat the remaining vestiges of the incubus of PDP built for 16 years in
\nNigeria.\u00a0 I know also that PDP’s foot soldiers and supporters are still
\ncrying and rolling on the ground cursing the day APC was formed, the day
\nPresident Buhari was born, the day he picked the ticket of APC, the day he
\nwon the Presidential elections and the day he was sworn in as the
\npresident of Nigeria.\u00a0 They did not in their wildest imagination believe
\nthat APC will snatch the feeding bottles from their huge mouths .
\nConsequently these men and women of years of the locusts find it difficult
\nto come to terms that it is all over for them, and no longer business as
\nusual.<\/p>\n
One man who has refused to accept the realities on the ground in Nigeria
\nof today is one Okey Ndibe from Anambra State who lives in the United
\nStates.\u00a0 Okey is a well known sympathizer of PDP but he cleverly tries to
\ndeceive the public by pretending to be neutral in matters of Nigeria
\npolitics.\u00a0 On few occasions I have joined issues with Okey Ndibe to be a
\nman he should and take a stand.\u00a0 Okey believes that there are no
\nideological differences between PDP and APC and concluded that APC and PDP
\nare the same. I remember I had challenged Okey Ndibe to come out clean and
\ntell the world that he works for PDP even though he pretends to be
\nneutral.<\/p>\n
When Okey started derailing from joining the change agents to rescue
\nNigeria, I noticed that he lost a lot of followers especially on Sahara
\nReporters.\u00a0 When he was thorough and genuine he had many followers but the
\nmoment Jonathan and Peter Obi\u2019s Money began to flow in, this man started
\ndancing naked in the public, and gradually his admirers like my humble
\nself ran away with great speed.\u00a0 Regrettably I saw that his admirers
\nreduced to less than 20 from an Olympian height of sometimes more than 200
\nfollowers on Sahara Reporters.<\/p>\n
In his latest latest piece with the caption, \u201cBuhari Disappearing
\nPresidency\u201d just about four weeks of Buhari\u2019s Presidency Okey says
\n\u201cPresident Buhari is dangerously close toleaving Nigerians disillusioned\u201d
\nAccording to Okey: \u201cIt is remarkable that in one month as president, Mr
\nBuhari has not laid out a single policy proposal on any of the major
\nnational issues that concerns Million who voted for him\u201d<\/p>\n
Now, Okey may not know this:\u00a0 What former president Jonathan failed to
\nachieve in six years, President Buhari has achieved in just two weeks.
\nWork started the day President Buhari was sworn and Okey cannot remain in
\nthe United States and thinks he will know everything that is going on
\nhere.\u00a0 A lot is going on here which this man who refused to relocate to
\nNigeria to help may not know.\u00a0 For the mere fact that Buhari emerged the
\nPresident-Elect on March 28, 2015 changed a lot of things in Nigeria and
\nput spanner in the works for those who looted and destroyed Nigeria in the
\npast 16 years.\u00a0 In one fell swoop the International Community restored
\nconfidence in Nigeria Leadership and asked President Buhari to come to the
\nG8 Summit with his shopping list.\u00a0 I am 100% sure he will get a lot of
\nhelp especially in the area of looted funds. Huge information on how we
\ngot to this sorry pass and how we can get out of it has been released to
\nPresident Buhari by those who believe in him.\u00a0 The moment it became
\nobvious that Buhari is coming on stage the equation drastically changed in
\nNigeria and as I write this, the leakages and loopholes within the system
\nare being plugged. Impunity and Corruption are gradually taken the back
\nseat because a good man is in the saddle.\u00a0 Some people are even returning
\nstolen funds to the presidency without anybody forcing them to do so. His
\nbody language alone has send jitters to the corrupt people in Nigeria.<\/p>\n
That Okey Ndibe is in a haste to begin to assess a government that is
\nbarely just one month old is no news to me.\u00a0 What is news to me is that He
\nprefers Jonathan\u2019s PDP than Buhari\u2019s APC because he fed extensively on
\nPDP\u2019s inept leadership.\u00a0 Okey pretended to be offering solutions to
\nNigerian\u2019s problems but in action and deeds he worked so hard to earn a
\nliving.\u00a0 They tell me that Okey Ndibe is a professor and if it is indeed
\ntrue , I expect that he knows that there is no magic in governance
\nespecially governing a complex country like Nigeria.\u00a0 Given the enormity
\nof the damage inflicted on Nigeria in the past 16 years by the PDP , I
\nexpect that a professor of anything with full dose of Western education
\nshould know better.\u00a0 Leaders\u2019 hands are always heavy and people like Okey
\nshould provide support at a time like this and not this unwarranted
\ncriticism that cannot be separated from primordial sentiments.\u00a0 Okey Ndibe
\nis not alone if you go through the reactions from his latest article.<\/p>\n
Lots and lots of those Jonathanians especially from the South East and
\nSouth are still bitter and angry that their Father Christmas (former
\nPresident Jonathan) lost the 2015 elections.\u00a0 They are still sulking and
\nwhining and you can see it from the reactions in Okey\u2019s piece.\u00a0 His fake
\nfollowers, I mean the losers 2015 presidential elections are on rampage
