In honour of his monumental achievements and legacies,\u00a0 the governor of
\nRivers State, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has renamed the RIVERS STATE POLYTECHNIC
\nin Bori as KEN ULE\u00a0 BEESON SAROWIWA POLYTECHNIC. The governor remarked
\nthat the memories of\u00a0 avatars like the late Sarowiwa who fought selflessly
\nfor the betterment of society and humanity should not be consigned to
\noblivion.More so, he reasoned, when such personalities are revered beyond
\nthe shores of the country.<\/p>\n
Signposting the achievements of the late Sarowi wa-especially as the
\nformer Sole Administrator of Bonny and the first commissioner for
\neducation in Rivers State,<\/p>\n
Gov.Wike recalled with nostalgia,\u00a0 the role of the late Sarowiwa in the
\nNiger Delta struggle that eventually consumed him. That,the governor
\ninsists, is one monument that can never be obliterated.\u00a0 “This literary
\ngiant must not be left unsong. He was a known and respected environmental
\nactivist whose efforts exposed the marginalisation of the Niger Delta and
