The National chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Odigie
\nOyegun, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari is winning the war
\nagainst Boko Haram.<\/p>\n
Chief Oyegun said before the administration of Buhari, the sect had
\ncreated territories in some northern states in the country.
\nAccording to him, Boko Haram which has been denied its territories by the
\ngovernment\u2019s efforts has resorted to bombing.<\/p>\n
Oyegun, who spoke on The Osasu Show aired on Independent Television (ITV),
\nsaid government is working intensively to match the change of tactics by
\nthe sect.<\/p>\n
The APC chairman said: \u201cHe is defeating the insurgency. Maybe I need to
\nput what I said a little more clearly. Before Buhari, the insurgents were
\ncontrolling, governing, and ruling Nigerian territory that was larger than
\nmost European countries.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey did not bother about the bombing aspect because they had
\nterritories, they were ruling Nigerians. That is the extremist point. They
\nhave been deprived of that. So what I said, it\u2019s very unfortunate, very
\ntragic, and that we must stop in short order.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is the most difficult thing to contain in the immediate term, but the
\ngovernment is working very intensively to match these changes of tactics
\nby Boko Haram. Don\u2019t forget they started by bombings, then when they saw
\nthat they could hold territory they shifted to wanting to create their own
\ncountry within a county.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t know what they do to this young people to make them want to kill
\nthemselves and kill others. The reality is that if someone makes up his
\nmind to die, then we do have a problem on our hands. But that problem too
\nis one that is being confronted by the President Muhammadu Buhari
\nadministration. It requires totally new tactics.\u201d<\/p>\n
Oyegun explained that the decision by the President to move the entire
\ncommand to the battle front created the inspirational platform because the
