The All Progressive Congress (APC), spokesman in Ekiti State<\/span>
\n, Taiwo Olatunbosun, has sent emissaries to the Ekiti<\/span>
\nState governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, seeking a truce.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sources disclosed that a national assembly member from Ekiti State,<\/span>
\nwas among those approached by Hon. Olatunbosun to broker peace between<\/span>
\nhim and the governor.<\/p>\n

Though it is not clear whether or not the emissaries had reached out
\nto the governor, the source said Olatunbosun was facing some spiritual<\/span>
\nproblems, which necessitated his seeking peace with those he believed<\/span>
\nhe had offended.<\/p>\n

It was equally learnt that for the first time, Olatunbosun was feeling
\nguilty, realising how Fayose truly changed his status from a rice<\/span>
\nfarmer in Igbemo-Ekiti, his hometown, and a Beer seller at Spotless<\/span>
\nHotel, Ado-Ekiti, to a Deputy Speaker of the Ekiti State House of<\/span>
\nAssembly, during Fayose’s first administration between 2003 and 2006.<\/span><\/p>\n

Olatunbosun was among those brought into political limelight in Ekiti
\nState by Governor Fayose. He was said to be a rice farmer in
\nIgbemo-Ekiti, Irepodun\/Ifelodun Local Government area of Ekti State
\nwhen Fayose picked him up and gave him the Peoples Democratic Party
\n(PDP) ticket to contest the Irepodun\/Ifelodun Local Government
\nConstituency II seat in the State House of Assembly.<\/p>\n

Fayose went further to make Olatunbosun the House of Assembly Deputy
\nSpeaker and even Acting Governor, thus making him one of the most
\npowerful people in the government.<\/p>\n

However, the moment Fayose was impeached, Olatunbosun turned against
\nthe governor and he eventually moved to the All Progressives Congress
\n(APC) when Fayose picked the PDP governorship ticket last year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Olatunbosun was made the APC Publicity Secretary, his belief
\nthen was that he will either use the position to get money from the
\nAPC national leader, Senator Bola Tinubu or if he keeps attacking
\nGovernor Fayose, the governor will have no option than to call him for
\nsettlement.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs it is now, Olatunbosun has not been able to get the expected
\nfinancial benefit from Tinubu and Fayose has ignored him despite his
\npersistent lies against the governor.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost importantly, Olatunbosun is said to have been battling with some
\nspiritual problems for sometimes now, and all what he has been told so
\nfar was to go and beg whoever he had betrayed in the course of his
\njourney in life,\u201d a source said.<\/p>\n

One of the emissaries who spoke under the condition of anonymity said;
\n“He told us that his spiritual father from Oke Agbe Akoko in Ondo
\nState, in whom he had the greatest trust, also told him to seek
\nforgiveness from the offended benefactor. That, until he seeks
\nforgiveness from who changed the
\nstory of his life for better, and whom he personally confirmed to be
\nGovernor Fayose, he may not likely have a solution to his problem.”<\/p>\n

“Honestly speaking, I have never had much belief in consequences of
\nbetrayal to be this cumbersome and threatening, until when this man
\ncalled Olatunbosun ran to me for help.<\/p>\n

“I thought it was a kind of political merrymaking which he has been
\nknown for, not until he showed me a big sore on his lap.<\/p>\n

The national assembly member, who said he was yet to meet with the
\ngovernor on the issue, added that he was still looking for an
\nauspicious time to talk to the governor, and that he was sure the
\ngovernor will forgive and forget.<\/p>\n

“Although he has confided in us that he cannot but discharge his duty<\/span>
\nas the mouthpiece of the party, APC, here in Ekiti, he confessed that<\/span>
\nmost of the press releases published in newspapers in his name were<\/span>
\nactually written by one of the aides of former Governor Kayode<\/p>\n
