Mrs. Ibifuro Thompson Tatua who is the spokesperson of the Niger Delta
\nPeople\u2019s Movement, has enjoined Bayelsans to come out en masse to support
\nand vote for the former governor of Bayelsa State, Chief Timipre Sylva who
\nwill make Bayelsa State prosperous during the forthcoming governorship
\nelection.<\/p>\n
\u00a0According\u00a0to\u00a0her,\u00a0\u201cBayelsa\u00a0State\u00a0needs\u00a0an\u00a0effective\u00a0leader.\u00a0Sylva\u00a0represents<\/p>\n
\u00a0very\u00a0different\u00a0vision\u00a0for the\u00a0future\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0state.\u00a0He\u00a0has\u00a0a\u00a0vision\u00a0that\u00a0will<\/p>\n
\u00a0finally\u00a0defeat\u00a0the\u00a0unethical,\u00a0incompetent\u00a0Seriake\u00a0Dickson\u00a0led\u00a0PDP<\/p>\n
\u00a0leadership\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0next\u00a0election\u201d\u00a0she\u00a0said.<\/p>\n
She also advised Bayelsans at home and abroad not to be carried away by
\nthe alleged endorsement of certain people in the state.<\/p>\n
Tatua said misguided attacks by some self-acclaimed leaders and their
\nbackers would never deter Sylva from becoming governor of the state\u201d.<\/p>\n
Speaking in a breakfast session with leaders of major political parties in
\nYenagoa, Tatua said Sylva would make the difference in the politics and
\ndevelopment of the state.<\/p>\n
\u201cBayelsans have a choice in December to pick someone who can bring about a
\nnew direction in the state, or someone who seems to want to lead because
\nthey think they are entitled to lead. Bayelsa needs a new direction, and
\nSylva represents that direction\u201d.<\/p>\n
Drawing inspiration from the good governance template as laid down by the
\ngroup, Tatua said\u00a0 Sylva\u2019s\u00a0 leadership would go beyond providing critical
\ninfrastructure, paying salaries, gratuities, pensions, employing large
\nnumber of qualified people into the civil service and financing the
\neducation of thousands in local and foreign universities.<\/p>\n
\u201cSylva will complete abandoned and all on-going projects in the state. He
\nwill find solution to the problems of the state, inculcate positive values
\nlike honesty, hard work, and fairness and ensure social justice and good
\ngovernance in the state.<\/p>\n
\u201cSylva will also encourage the poor and powerless to take part in the
\ngovernment of the communities and the state, promote grassroots economic
\ndevelopment, prevent environmental degradation, help the poor people
\ndevelop a clearer understanding of the social, political and economic
\nfactors affecting their lives, make the development process more
\naccountable, transparent and participatory as well as provide conducive
\natmosphere for local and foreign investors\u201d Tatua said.<\/p>\n
\u201cSylva is committed to ushering in a brand new way of doing things for the
\nstate. He will get Bayelsa’s economic house in order, by ensuring
