The United States Government has pledged its readiness to work with the
\nnew Management of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC in
\nachieving the Federal Government\u2019s reform agenda in the oil and gas
\nindustry.<\/p>\n
Speaking on Thursday during a courtesy call on the Group Managing
\nDirector,\u00a0 Dr. Ibe Kachikwu at the Corporate Headquarters of the NNPC in
\nAbuja, the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Ambassador James Entwistle said the
\nUnited States is willing to provide all necessary support to the new NNPC
\nManagement to realize its set goals and objectives.<\/p>\n
Amb. Entwistle noted that though the job of the GMD of NNPC is about the
\nmost challenging job in Nigeria, the US is convinced that Dr. Kachikwu has
\nthe skills, training and requisite experience to lead the oil and gas
\nindustry in Nigeria towards the path of growth and sustainable
\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n
Commending the US for the pledge of support, Dr. Kachikwu reiterated
\nthe determination of the new NNPC Management to implement the spirit and
\nletter of the President Muhammadu Buhari\u2019s reform agenda in the petroleum
\nindustry.<\/p>\n
The GMD stated that the new NNPC would be driven by a deep sense of
\ncommitment to service delivery anchored on the principle of transparency,
\nefficiency, people, purpose and profit.<\/p>\n
“My mission is to re-direct and re-energize the work force for greater
\nvalue addition and I believe that the NNPC, given the right leadership has
