The All Progressives Congress in Kwara State has strongly condemned the
\ncall for the resignation of the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola
\nSaraki by desperate politicians and their agents while also dismissing a
\nstatement credited to Lagos APC Spokesman, Mr Joe Igbokwe as a clear act
\nof impersonation.<\/p>\n
In a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by the Publicity Secretary,
\nAlhaji Sulyman Buhari, the party described Mr Joe Igbokwe as an
\nimpersonator on a mission to cause confusion within the APC family in the
\ncountry.<\/p>\n
“\u00fdWe wish to strongly condemn the statement as unacceptable and a clear
\nact of impersonation. It should also be noted that Mr Igbokwe’s statement
\ndoesn’t represent the views of members of our party across the country.
\nWhat Mr Igbokwe has exhibited is a clear act of impersonation. Is he the
\nChairman or National Publicity Secretary of our party?<\/p>\n
“For anyone who was tempted to doubt our claim that the case against the
\nSenate President is not an anti-corruption driven case but a
\npolitically-motivated prosecution aimed at undermining the person and the
\noffice of the Senate President, it is now clearer. Mr Igbokwe’s recent
\nvituperation against the person and the office of the Senate President is
\npart of the script designed by desperate politicians to pull down the
\nSenate President at all costs.<\/p>\n
\u00fd”Again, we wish to unequivocally and categorically condemn, reject and
\ndismiss the call for the resignation of Senate President Bukola Saraki by
\nsponsored faceless groups and bought souls as out of place and
\npolitically-sponsored.<\/p>\n
“Kwara APC also reiterates that with the collective resolve of Nigerians
\nfor a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria with utmost regard for principles of
\nseparation of powers and the independence of the legislature coupled with
\nthe uprightness of the judicial system, this satanic plot against the
