The Deputy Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Friday Ossai
\nOsanebi has declared\u00a0 that the present economic challenge can’t be a
\nyardstick for political office holders not to empower their people; saying
\nthat any purposeful leader will be proactive always to create wealth, so
\nthat the people can be\u00a0 empowered and enhance the redistribution of wealth
\nand prosperity of Deltans according the prosperity agenda of Governor
\nIfeanyi Okowa.<\/p>\n
The ‘Empowerment Master’ gave the charge in Ossissa and Ashaka, Ndokwa East
\nLocal Government Area of Delta State in a thank you tour,\u00a0 when he gave out
\nTwo Million Naira to twenty women to boost micro businesses in the area in
\norder to further empower and engage other persons, in line with the
\nprosperity agenda of the Governor, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa.<\/p>\n
Thanking the people for their unalloyed support for his party, the PDP and
\nfor voting her in the last general election, the Deputy Speaker revealed
\nthat it is the duty of public office holders to positively affect the lives
\nof their people and transform the areas where they come from, through
\neffective law making, purposeful representation and other processes and
\navenue of governance;\u00a0 because these amongst others\u00a0 are the essence of
\ndemocracy and political representation.\u00a0 He gave this charge while he
\nreassured Ndokwa people and Deltans at large that the present
\nadministration of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is ready to match words with
\naction. Hear him: “as a person I don’t see the present global economic
\nchallenge as a reason not to return to the society that has empowered you,
\nbecause I was raised to always give thanks to God, irrespective of any
\nsituation. The challenges we face today as a nation and state, is working
\nout for our good”.<\/p>\n
Declaring that he is now better placed as Deputy Speaker to do more, he
\nrevealed that youths and people of Ndokwa nation had never experienced it
\ngood like this, with young leaders that have been politically empowered by
\nSen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa to be channels of blessing to the\u00a0 people. He said
\nthis while thanking the Governor for His magnanimity thus far coupled with
\nhis good agenda for Ndokwa nation. He further introduced the two Members
\nrepresenting Ndokwa East and West on the Board of the Delta State Oil
\nProducing Areas Development Commission\u00a0 (DESOPADEC), Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi,
\nHon. Fidelix Oputa ( Flenjor) respectively and reassured the people that
\nwith the duo of Hon. Nnamdi and Flenjor onboard, it’s better days ahead for
\nNdokwa People.<\/p>\n
Expressing his preparedness for a holistic approach of the empowerment and
\ntransformation needs of Ndokwa People, the Deputy Speaker disclosed that
\nthe DESOPADEC members will focus attention on youth empowerment, the
\ncommissioner representing Ndokwa East in the Delta State Executive Council,
\nHon. Chika Ossai will focus on the empowerment needs of the elders while he
\nfocuses and pay full attention to his empowerment scheme for women, widows
\nand orphans.<\/p>\n
The Deputy Speaker further said that he is not ignorant of the urgent
\ninfrastructural demand of Ndokwa Nation but urged the people to be
\nsupportive and patient with this present administration, emphasizing that
