The Pan Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, has warned all Fulani\u00a0Herdsmen to stay away from Yoruba Land henceforth or face dare\u00a0consequences.<\/p>\n
A communique released in Akure, the Ondo State Capital by Yinka Odumakin\u00a0accused the Fulani herdsmen who abducted Chief Olu Falae of carrying out\u00a0vengeance mission.<\/p>\n
The Communique read to newsmen by Odumakin said \u201cWe demand that nomadic\u00a0cattle rearing should be stopped in every state of Yoruba land.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe believe now that after what has happened to chief Falae, people would\u00a0not tolerate such thing in any part of Yoruba land .<\/p>\n
\u201cSo while we await the arrest of the criminals, the cattle rearing should\u00a0be stop in Yoruba land.<\/p>\n
\u201cYoruba people go to any part of the country to trade, no history or\u00a0record of such anywhere that the Yorubas destroy the business of their\u00a0host. What we cannot do to others, nobody should do it to us.<\/p>\n
Odumakin said that the meeting\u201d decried insecurity in the country as\u00a0relate to the unrelenting blood letting by the terrorist Boko Haram and\u00a0the wave of unchecked kidnapping going on in the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cA special focus was beam on the recent abduction of one of our revered\u00a0leader in Afenifere,Chief Olu Falae, also a former secretary to the\u00a0government of the federation and former presidential candidates,while on\u00a0his farm.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe describe this as scandalous and chilling that the harrowing experience\u00a0of the 77 year old man in the hands of vandals,miscreants.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Meeting did not considers it as a mere coincidence that chief Olu\u00a0Falae for two to three years has been having running battles with the\u00a0Fulani herdsmen on the very farm before he was abducted.<\/p>\n
\u201cLast of such was about two months earlier when they enter his farmland\u00a0and destroyed it and chief Falae pursue the matter with the police and\u00a0grudgingly accepted half of what the police said they should pay as\u00a0compensation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe fulani elements coming to abduct him two months latter, is presumably\u00a0a vengeance mission for justice that he pursued against the invasion of\u00a0his farm and the destruction of his hand work.<\/p>\n
\u201d The meeting recalled that for years, farmers in Yoruba land has been\u00a0expressing what chief Falae was going through in the hands of this nomadic\u00a0cattle rearers<\/p>\n

You will recalled that in year 2000 in Oke Ogun area of Oyo state, the\u00a0fulani herdsmen and farmers had a major clash which led to a strong\u00a0delegation from Arewa consultative forum to storm the office of the office\u00a0of the then Governor Lam Adesina in a rowdy and angry manner on behalf of\u00a0fulani .<\/p>\n
\u201cThe meeting also noted that the 2014 national conference in which chief\u00a0Falae led the Yoruba delegation ,extensively discuss this matter of\u00a0nomadic cattle rearing and the conference resolved the it should be\u00a0stopped and instead have ranches for cattle business.<\/p>\n
