Our attention has been drawn to the latest statement by the PDP spokesman,
\nOlisa Metuh alleging that President Muhammadu Buhari is \u201cdemarketing
\nNigeria\u201d.<\/p>\n
We restate for the umpteenth time to Mr. Metuh and his ilk that their
\nattempts to distract President Buhari from the job he has been elected to
\ndo will fail.<\/p>\n
President Buhari will remain true to the virtues of honesty, integrity,
\nsincerity, incorruptibility and plain-speaking which endeared him to
\nNigerians and made them prefer his leadership that of a lying and
\ndeceptive PDP administration.<\/p>\n
The President will not, in the guise of \u201cmarketing\u201d the country, refrain
\nfrom telling Nigerians and the world, the emerging truths about the abject
\nstate in which years of plundering by a PDP leadership has left the
\nNigerian treasury and economy.<\/p>\n
President Buhari will not in the name of \u201cmarketing\u201d or \u201cattracting\u201d
\ninvestors, follow in the footsteps of the ousted PDP Administration and
\nits discredited officials who shamelessly lied to Nigerians and the world
\nabout the buoyancy and vibrancy of an economy they had bled dry for
\npersonal gain, when it was very obvious to the discerning, that the
\nNigerian economy was headed for serious trouble.<\/p>\n
It is most unfortunate that instead of showing some remorsefulness for the
\nharm done to the nation by his party, and giving genuine support for
\nPresident Buhari\u2019s efforts to salvage and revamp the national economy, Mr.
\nMetuh persists in a vain attempt to remain relevant on the national stage
\nby unjustly denigrating the President who continues to strive with all his
\nmight to alleviate and reverse the harm done to the nation by PDP misrule
\nand corruption.<\/p>\n
Mr. Metuh\u2019s antics are futile. President Buhari cannot be distracted by a
\nbroken record. If the PDP spokesman ever has serious matters to bring to
\nour attention, we will be prepared to listen.<\/p>\n
