{"id":43912,"date":"2015-11-19T21:16:43","date_gmt":"2015-11-19T20:16:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=43912"},"modified":"2015-11-20T11:37:53","modified_gmt":"2015-11-20T10:37:53","slug":"dasuki-dss-raid-bafarawa-abuja-residence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/dasuki-dss-raid-bafarawa-abuja-residence\/","title":{"rendered":"Dasuki: DSS raid Bafarawa&#8217;s residence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1447963394343_2165\" dir=\"ltr\">Operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) today raided the Abuja home of a Former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1447963394343_2323\" dir=\"ltr\">Bafarawa who left Nigeria for Saudi Arabia two weeks ago, is currently in the United States of America.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">According to sources, the raid was informed by the former governor&#8217;s closeness to embattled ex NSA,\u00a0 Sambo Dasuki.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1447963394343_2324\" dir=\"ltr\">The former governor, who is a political associate of the embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, had accompanied the former NSA to court to answer charges of unlawful possession of firearms and alleged retention of funds, contrary to Section 15 (2)(d) of Money Laundering Prohibition Act 2011.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1447963394343_2325\" dir=\"ltr\">As early as 6am on Thursday, the peratives from DSS\u00a0 supported by armed mobile policemen, we&#8217;re seen\u00a0 along the\u00a0 Usuma residence<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1447963394343_2326\" dir=\"ltr\">Mr. Bafarawa and 15 others, mostly his aides while he was a governor, have been facing trial since they left office in 2007 for alleged misappropriation of public funds totalling N15 billion.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1447963394343_2327\" dir=\"ltr\">On November 3, operatives of State Security Service arrested a former Governor of Adamawa State, Boni Haruna, a few hours after standing surety for Mr. Dasuki.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) today raided the Abuja home of a Former Governor of Sokoto State, Attahiru Bafarawa.
