Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State has promised Abians both at home and
\nthose in diaspora who would be visiting home for the yuletide a crime-free
\ncelebrations.<\/p>\n
This is as the governor revealed that the state is going to launch a new
\nsecurity initiative whereby a brand new police patrol vehicle with police
\npersonnel would be stationed at each junction.<\/p>\n
Ikpeazu gave this assurance yesterday while inspecting ongoing road
\nprojects in Aba, the commercial-hub of the state.<\/p>\n
According to him, the essence of the inspection was to ascertain the
\nstages of the ongoing road projects and identify the roads that require
\nurgent attention which could be addressed during the dry season window.<\/p>\n
The governor also directed that immediate interventions should be carried
\non St. Michael’s, Hospital, and Jubilee roads.<\/p>\n
Ikpeazu said that Abia state is pioneering the cement technology in road
\nconstruction this side of the country, adding that the wisdom behind this
\ntechnology is to ensure that the roads constructed would last up to 20
\nyears.<\/p>\n
