The National Chairman of the Unity Party of Nigeria, and founder of
\nOodua People’s Congress (OPC), Frederick Fasehun has said President
\nMuhammadu Buhari is fast loosing focus with his administration.<\/p>\n
Fasehun, in a statement, expressed disappointment over\u00a0 the present
\nadministration which he said seemed like an experience of hope but has
\nnow dashed the expectations of Nigerians.<\/p>\n
He condemned Buhari\u2019s incessant trips all over the world describing it
\nas a huge distraction which would derail his development plans.<\/p>\n
He called on Buhari to desist from chasing shadows and face the issues
\nfacing Nigerians rather than gallivanting from one country to another
\nwithout adequate attention to the immediate issues bothering the
\ncountry.<\/p>\n
Fasehun said: \u201cThe President is missing in action. Initially, we said
\nNigeria under Buhari was flying in autopilot but now the country has
\nreceded into \u2018sabbaticals\u2019, with no petrol, no jobs, no power, no
\nsalaries, and people are waiting for their President to give them a
\nHappy New Year, especially when the time comes to pay children\u2019s
\nschool fees in the new year.<\/p>\n
\u201cNigerians are concerned about the lingering insecurity, the missing
\nChibok girls, the puzzling fuel shortage, unemployment, galloping
\ninflation, the falling value of the naira, the dwindling value of
\nstocks in the capital market, the power crisis and so on.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe government should concentrate on finding solutions to all these
\nand stop this futile chasing of shadows.\u201d<\/p>\n
The party leader also condemned Buhari\u2019s Anti-corruption war where
\nmembers of the ruling party are tagged \u201csaints\u201d and the opposition
\nevil and corrupt, adding that any attempt by the All Progressives
\nCongress, APC,-led Federal Government to suppress the opposition would
\nfail.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe continued covering of APC politicians widely seen as corrupt
\nshows that the so-called fight against corruption is merely a
