The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP),Restoration Campaign Organization in
\nBayelsa has uncovered plot by the All Progressives Congress, (APC) to
\nmislead the innocent voters through the spread of of falsehood and
\npropaganda particularly people of Southern Ijaw local government area of
\nthe state as regards the January 9, 2016 rescheduled election and the
\nposition of the Independent National electoral Commission, (INEC).<\/p>\n
The latest of APC misdemeanor was concocted at a meeting held yesterday at
\nthe instance of their embattled governorship candidate, Chief Timipre
\nSylva ahead of the poll.<\/p>\n
The Director General of the RCO Hon Fred Agbedi told newsmen in Yenagoa
\nthat contrary to the INEC position that the rescheduled election will hold
\nin Southern Ijaw and 101 units across the state where the results were
\ncancelled, the APC is now spreading blatant lies that the Electoral Body
\nhas upturned the already declared result which placed the PDP at vantage
\nposition with over 33,000 votes.<\/p>\n
Agbedi said the APC\u2019s current gimmicks is to confused the people of
\nSouthern Ijaw that the over 33, 000 votes that separated the party and the
\nPDP no longer stand and therefore they will have the upper hand on January
\n9.
\nHe explained that during the stakeholders meeting in Abuja on Thursday
\nwhich had in attendance all the majority candidates, party chairmen and
\nthe leadership of INEC, It was made very clearly that except Southern ijaw
\nand 101 units where results were not collated, all other results remained
\nvalid and wondered why the APC selling the cheap lies but added he is not
\nsurprise that it is their stock in trade.<\/p>\n
The RCO asked Bayelsans to ignore the sponsored falsehood of the APC as it
\nis clearly that the security arrangement arising from the stakeholders
\nmeeting has put them in a tight corner where they can not rig just as they
\ndid shamelessly on December 6, in southern ijaw, stressing that there is
\nno iota of truth in the APC\u2019s claim.<\/p>\n
Agbedi who is a member of the house of Representatives also asked the APC
\nand its circle of confused members to stop blaming theINEC REC in the
\nState, Barito kpangi for cancelling the election, saying it was a
\ncollective decision of the Commission why emphasizing that if it is
\ncandidate could only managed through the rigging and thuggery to win a
\nsingle local government out of seven declared, then they should equally
