Former Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) president, Comrade Ali Corona
\nhas advocated another four years term for President Muhammadu Buhari
\nto successfully complete all his government policies and programmes
\nwhich aimed at re-engineering the entire sectors of the country.<\/p>\n

He also asserted that four years or first term in office of President
\nBuhari is not enough for him to address the bad governance of past
\nadministrations, which had drawn the country into a pitiable
\nsituation.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the civic reception organized by the NLC Borno state
\ncouncil in Maiduguri, he maintained that, “four years will not be
\nenough for President Buhari.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want him to come back for another four years or second term to
\ncomplete his job.\u00a0 The situation he finds the nation economy require
\nling term good leadership to turn it around back to normalcy and
\nvibrant stage as the giant and wealthiest of Africa”.<\/p>\n

He also appealed to the present leadership of the NLC to support and
\nrally round the present administration of President Buhari for a
\nbetter Nigeria and indeed a changed Nigeria from what it used to be
\neven before the eyes if the international community.<\/p>\n

“The present position of the country is bad and the past leaders
\nmismanaged the economy. So it will take time for the President to put
\nthings in order. We all have to be patient with the President and
\nsupport him to achieve his set goals and policy objectives. Without
\nyou support all, he cannot succeed”, Cirona said.<\/p>\n

He however commended the organisers and other allied union workers and
\ngovernment for their support to honour their own son which he
\ndescribed as a tradition that Borno people excel in their
\nresponsibilities or service to humanity.<\/p>\n

The former NLC President added that Cimarde Ayuba Waba has quite
\nimpressively shown his virtues in all leadership positions he has been
\nassigned or elected right from the school days to unionism or
\nActivism.<\/p>\n

Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima, who was represented by the
\nstate deputy governor, Alhaji Usman Maman Durkwa congratulated the NLC
\nfor successful\u00a0 election in the state.<\/p>\n

He noted that the leadership of Comrade Ali Titus Abana had been
\neffective and responsive especially at this hard time of the Boko
\nHaram insurgency, while pledging to continue to maintain the cordial
\nworking relationship between the government and labour union.<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
