Ekiti State governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has called on Nigerians to<\/p>\n
pray specially for President Mohammadu Buhari; saying; \u201cThe President
\nneeds God to give him the necessary wisdom to be able to find solution
\nto the country\u2019s economic and security problems.\u201d<\/p>\n
The governor also challenged the Minister of Information and Culture,
\nLai Mohammed to relocate to Sambisa in Borno State or Yobe and move
\naround there without heavy military security if indeed he was sure
\nthat Boko Haram had been defeated.<\/p>\n
Fayose said; \u201conly God\u2019s
\nintervention can save Nigeria from the present economic and security
\nproblems as it is glaring that the man running the affairs of the
\ncountry at the federal level does not have any answer to the
\nproblems.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said; \u201cEven the Holy Bible said in James 1:5 that if anyone lacks
\nwisdom, he should ask God and as it is, Nigerians must assist the
\nPresident in asking for wisdom and understanding to tackle the
\ncountry\u2019s economic and security problems before Nigeria is further
\nplunged into more woes with the federal government\u2019s decision to
\nborrow N2.2 Trillion, which translates to N6.066 billion per day to
\nfinance the 2016 Budget.\u201d<\/p>\n
He described the Federal Government\u2019s announced reduction of petrol
\npump price from N87 to N85 per litre as a continuation of the All
\nProgressives Congress (APC) government\u2019s governance by deceit, saying;
\n\u201cEven secondary school students of economics know that you cannot
\nderegulate and regulate at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n
The governor said; \u201cit is only in a confused and clueless economy that
\ngovernment will plan to spend more when revenue has reduced by more
\nthan 50 percent.\u201d<\/p>\n
Governor Fayose, who maintained that petrol will not sell below N100
\nper litre in 2016, added that; \u201cEven now that the price is N87 and
\nsubsidy is yet to be removed, Nigerians are buying at between N130 and
\nN300 per litre. What will now happen when they remove subsidy and
\nallow market forces to determine the price?\u201d<\/p>\n
The governor described claimed by the Information Minister that Boko
\nHaram insurgents had been defeated as strange, saying; \u201cNigerians will
\nonly take the minister serious if he relocates to either Sambisa in
\nBorno State or Yobe State and stay there till the end of March, next
\nyear without heavy military security.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said; \u201cTo show their level of confusion, two days after the
\nMinister of Information declared that Boko Haram had been defeated,
\nPresident Buhari said the government would persuade Boko Haram to
\nabandon their fight. One then wonders how the same Boko Haram
\ninsurgents Lai Mohammed said were already defeated will have to be
\npersuaded to abandon their fight.<\/p>\n
\u201cInterestingly, the same Boko Haram that Lai Mohammed said had been
\ndefeated reported attacked Kimba village in Gur ward of Biu Local
\nGovernment Area of Borno State yesterday night.<\/p>\n
\u201cTherefore, the Information Minister must show Nigerians how peaceful
\nBorno and Yobe States have become after the defeat of Boko Haram by
