{"id":45543,"date":"2016-01-11T13:15:42","date_gmt":"2016-01-11T12:15:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=45543"},"modified":"2016-01-11T13:16:08","modified_gmt":"2016-01-11T12:16:08","slug":"apc-governorship-aspirant-abducted-in-ondo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/apc-governorship-aspirant-abducted-in-ondo\/","title":{"rendered":"APC Governorship aspirant abducted in Ondo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1452508717094_19681\" dir=\"ltr\">Governorship aspirant in Ondo State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Victor Olabintan, has been abducted.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1452508717094_19685\" dir=\"ltr\">Olabintan, a former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, was abducted on his way to Abuja from Akure, the Ondo State capital, for a political meeting.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1452508717094_19686\" dir=\"ltr\">Secretary of the Olabintan Campaign Organisation, Gboyega Ajayi, confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1452508717094_19693\" dir=\"ltr\">According to Ajayi, Olabintan was stopped by some men in military uniforms who mounted a check-point.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1452508717094_19692\" dir=\"ltr\">Thinking they were soldiers, he stopped, only to be whisked away to a yet-to-be-known location.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1452508717094_19694\" dir=\"ltr\">Olabintan, barely 48 hours ago, precisely on Saturday January 9, announced his intention to contest for the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1452508717094_19703\" dir=\"ltr\">He announced that he would contest on the platform of the APC.<\/p>\n<p id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1452508717094_19695\" dir=\"ltr\">The police authorities are said to be aware and have commenced search for the victim.<br \/>\nHuhuonline..<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Governorship aspirant in Ondo State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Victor Olabintan, has been abducted.
