\nNatives of the nation\u2019s capital, Abuja, wants the Economic and Financial
\nCrimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the former Minister of FCT,
\nSenator Bala Mohammed for corruption during his tenure.<\/p>\n

Bala is a contender for the position of National Chairman of the Peoples
\nDemocratic Party, PDP.<\/p>\n

Only recently the former Minister’s son Abdullahi Ibrahim, a man with no
\nclear means of livelihood, was reported to have cars in his fleet worth
\nover N2 Billion.<\/p>\n

He was recently busted by the Nigeria Customs Service for evasion of
\nduties worth about N124million.<\/p>\n

Sources say the former Minister, his family and cronies were neck deep in
\nland racketeering from where they made huge sums running into several
\nBillions in FCT.<\/p>\n

The natives, under the aegis of the Original Inhabitants Development
\nAssociation (OIDA), made this known yesterday in Abuja, in a statement
\nsigned by its president, Pastor Danladi Jeji.<\/p>\n

Also to be investigated, they said are top officials of the Abuja
\nGeographic Information System (AGIS) and Federal Capital Development
\nAuthority (FCDA) over alleged illegal allocation of land to their cronies
\nin green areas within Maitama district extension of Abuja.<\/p>\n

OIDA said the allocation of land in green areas, which was meant for
\nnatural conservation and tourism, was a breach of public trust and gross
\nviolation of the Abuja master plan by the ex-minister.<\/p>\n

OIDA expressed disappointment with AGIS and FCDA officials who kept mute
\nwhile the rich and powerful violated the green areas but were quick to
\npounce on poor natives and residents for minor infringements.<\/p>\n

It will be recalled that the Senate Committee on the Federal Capital
\nTerritory chaired by Senator Dino Melaye, had during the 2016 budget
\ndefence of the FCT on Friday, revealed that former President Goodluck
\nJonathan and 29 others were allocated plots of land in green areas meant
\nfor flora, fauna and tourism activities around Maitama district extension,
\nin gross violation of the Abuja master plan.<\/p>\n

When contacted, the Media Assistant to the Executive Secretary of the
\nFCDA, Mr. Richard Nduul, said he cannot comment on the matter, while the
\nPublic Relations Officer (PRO) of AGIS, Mr. Cosmas Uzodinma, also said
\nonly the director of AGIS or that of Land can comment on the matter.<\/p>\n

The two children of Bala\u00a0 Mohammed, all under 30 years old,\u00a0 are alleged
\nto have stashed about N35billion in Unity Bank, UBA and an offshore
\naccount in Dubai.<\/p>\n

The two sons who are said to be notorious for harassing and getting
\ncontracts from various agencies and staffers of the FCTA using fronts and
\nproxies.<\/p>\n

Abdullahi\u2019s\u00a0 fleet has Porshe, G Wagons of different grades, Lamborgini,
\nFerraris, and the N800 million MaClaren 650S Coupe, which his friends told
\nPointblanknews.com, was bought for car racing, not pleasure driving.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
