President Muhamadu Buhari has sacked over 23 director generals and<\/p>\n
managing directors of agencies and departments of government.<\/p>\n
A statement signed by Mr. Babachir David Lawal, Secretary to the
\nGovernment of the Federation said \u201cThe President of the Federal Republic
\nof Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has approved the immediate disengagement of
\nthe following Chief Executive Officers of the underlisted Parastatals,
\nAgencies and Commissions.<\/p>\n
He has also directed that the most senior officers in the Parastatals,
\nAgencies and Councils oversee the activities of the organizations pending
\nthe appointment of substantive Chief Executive Officers\u201d.<\/p>\n
The President, however, thanked them for their invaluable services to the
\nnation and wishes them well in their future endeavours.<\/p>\n
The affected agencies are as follows;Petroleum Technology Development Fund
\n(PTDF) New Partnership for Africa\u2019s Development (NEPAD) Nigeria Social
\nInsurance Trust Fund (NSITF) Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring
\nBoard (NCDMB), Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), Tertiary Education
\nTrust Fund (TETFund)<\/p>\n
Others are: National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA)
\nPetroleum Equalization Fund, Nigeria Railways Corporation (NRC), Bureau of
\nPublic Procurements (BPP), Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE)
\nPetroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency (PPPRA), Standard
\nOrganization of Nigeria (SON), National Agency for Food and Drugs
\nAdministration and Control (NAFDAC)<\/p>\n
Also affected are: Nigeria Investment Promotion Council (NIPC), Bank of
\nIndustry (BoI), National Centre for Women Development (NCWD, Industrial
\nTraining Fund (ITF)
\nNigerian Export-Import Bank, National Agency for Prohibition of Traffic In
