National Auditor of the PDP, Alhaji Adewole Adeyanju,\u00a0 has asked anyone with proof its new chairman has links with Boko Haram to come forward.<\/p>\n
In\u00a0 a statement on Wednesday in Abuja, he\u00a0 challenged anybody with concrete proof on Sheriff\u2019s culpability to speak out or shut up.<\/p>\n
But former National Planning minister,\u00a0 Dr Abubakar Suleiman said the choice of Ali Modu Sherriff\u00a0 would kill the party<\/p>\n
The ex-minister said\u00a0 \u201cSome of us would rather review our membership than subject ourselves to selfish interests of some cabal whose main goal is political profiteering. After all, our umbilical cord is not tied to any party.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said\u201cOur rescue mission has failed; the redemption boat has capsized and our journey to recovery has come to an end.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhosoever partook in the decision does not mean well for the party and democracy in Nigeria.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is obvious that the fifth columnist has hijacked the party and they are hell-bent on sinking it deeper into irrecoverable level of the pit.<\/p>\n
Asked if his group was planning to move to either the All Progressives Congress or form another political party, Suleiman said the decision would be taken soon, Punch reports<\/p>\n
\u201cSome people will go to the APC while some will form their own political party if they so desire.<\/p>\n
\u201cSheriff\u2019s emergence is a setback for the party trying to build its image. Credible members and younger ones are going to leave the party.<\/p>\n
