Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has said that President<\/p>\n
Muhammadu Buhari and his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC)
\nduped Nigerians by obtaining their votes by trick.
\nFayose said “Everything Buhari and his party promised Nigerians when they
\nwere looking for votes, they have denied and it won\u2019t be a surprise if one
\nday, Buhari comes out to even deny that he was elected on the platform
\nof APC.\u201d<\/p>\n
The governor described Buhari\u2019s declaration that he would not pay the
\nN5, 000 stipend he promised to unemployed youths in the country and
\nMinister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed\u2019s claim that
\ncreation of three million jobs per year was not promised by the APC as
\nthe peak of political 419 that the President and his party represent.<\/p>\n
He said; \u201cThey have not fulfilled any of the promises they made to
\nNigerians. In fact, they have even told us that they never made any
\npromise. It is close to one year that Buhari assumed office; no single
\njob has been created. Instead of the three million jobs per year that
\nthey promised, what we have been witnessing is job losses, economic
\nhardship and budget padding\u201d<\/p>\n
Speaking through his Special Assistant on Public Communications and
\nNew Media, Lere Olayinka, Governor Fayose said it was more worrisome
\nthat President Buhari always choose foreign lands to make major policy
\npronouncements, asking whether Buhari has turned himself to Nigeria\u2019s
\nDiaspora or Online President.
\nGovernor Fayose described President Buhari\u2019s declaration of support
\nfor Palestine and description of Palestinians as his brothers and
\nsisters that must achieve their desired objectives as a confirmation
\nof the growing suspicion that the President was interested in Nigeria
\nbecoming a full Islamic State.<\/p>\n
He said; \u201cEven though I am a lover of Muslims, I relate with them as I
\ndo with Christians in the State and across the country, but Nigeria
\nmust remain secular and a free nation where its citizens proclaim the
\nname of Jesus Christ and Allah (Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala) freely.\u201d
\nThe governor said the moment President Buhari disowned his own
\ncampaign document titled; \u201cMy Covenant with Nigerians,\u201d that was
\ncirculated to Nigerians during the electioneering campaign and also
\npublished in national newspapers and posted online on March 16 and 17,
\n2015, he knew that Nigerians had been that duped.
\n\u201cNigerians have now realised that they are inside a \u2018One Chance Bus\u2019
\nbecause Buhari and his APC have disowned their entire campaign
\npromises by disowning their campaign document titled; \u2018My Covenant
\nwith Nigerians.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cThis document that they disowned in August, last year contained
\neverything they promised Nigerians and if today, President Buhari
\nchose faraway Qatar to announce that he won\u2019t pay the N5, 000 promised
\nunemployed youths and Lai Mohammed is here in Nigeria saying no job
\nwas promised, no one should be surprised.<\/p>\n
\u201cRather, Nigerians can only begin to pray that God, who rescued Daniel
\nfrom den of lions will rescue us from this Buhari\/APC one chance bus
\nthat we have entered,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
While insisting that no octogenarian must be allowed to rule Nigeria
\nagain, Governor Fayose said the youths of the country must know that
\npeople like Buhari do not have any stake in the future of Nigeria and
\nthose who will not be part of Nigeria of twenty years to come must not
