Former Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is under probe by the Kano state<\/p>\n
chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over alleged misconduct
\nduring his condolence visit to Governor Umar Ganduje who lost his mother
\nrecently.<\/p>\n
Kwankwaso is accused of using the occasion to begin a subtle campaign for
\nthe Presidency ahead of the 2019 Presidential elections.<\/p>\n
The State Chairman of the party, Alhaji Haruna Umar Doguwa, said: \u201cThe
\nstate executive committee and elders jointly condemned the character and
\ntexture of Kwankwaso\u2019s condolence visit to Kano and its portent objective
\nas a launch pad of his presidential ambition which was wholly unfounded\u201d.<\/p>\n
He added: \u201cWe wish to state categorically that there is no presidential
\nvacancy in the first place. Our loyalty and commitment is to our able
\npresident Muhammadu Buhari and his policies and programmes\u201d.<\/p>\n
At a joint press briefing on Thursday with the acting Chairman of the
\nelders committee of the party , Alhaji Audu Kirare, Doguwa dissociated the
\nparty from \u2018s action.<\/p>\n
According to him, the act of thuggery and brazen show of daggers, swords
\nand other forms of weapons by sponsored hoodlums during Kwankwaso\u2019s
\ncondolence visit was totally unwholesome, abhorrent and condemnable by the
\nteeming loyal party members.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe visit and all ugly traits exhibited are available in the social media
\ndomain being circulated for all to verify the nasty utterances that
\nproofed the clear case of the party indiscipline that trailed the
\nKwankwaso condolence visit,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He pointed out that \u201cOur party would not leave any stone unturned in
\nensuring discipline, orderliness and loyalty as prescribed by the
\nconstitution of the party\u201d.<\/p>\n
Governor Ganduje and former Governor Kwankwaso have been having supremacy
\nbattle over who controls the state Party machinery. This is even as both
