Former Minister for Transport and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic<\/p>\n
Party (PDP), Chief Ebenezer Babatope has said that his Party will show the
\nAll Progressive Congress, APC, the way out of Government in 2019.<\/p>\n
He said the PDP will \u201cdislodge\u201d President Muhammadu Buhari from Aso Rock
\nin 2019.<\/p>\n
Speaking when he visited Ayodele Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, Babatope
\naccused the current administration of using security agencies to harass
\nand intimidate its opponents.<\/p>\n
Babatope said his party was regaining its strength, as the PDP has had
\ngood outings in recent times.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have been preparing for him (Buhari) such that come 2019, we will
\nbecome stronger in PDP and dislodge him from Aso Rock,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cAPC\u2019s romance with power would terminate in 2019. You can see that we are
\nalready gaining an upper hand. Looking at all the recent elections, PDP
\ntriumphed in almost all of them. And by the grace of God, come 2019, we
\nwill show the APC the way out of government.\u201d<\/p>\n
He advised the president not to \u201cdump democracy for selective justice\u201d,
\nalleging that former President Olusegun Obasanjo used the same approach
\nbut \u201cfailed\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want to advise him that he should not dump democracy for selective
\njustice, because if he does that, he would destroy himself,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m an Awo-trained person, I don\u2019t have any grudge against EFCC or DSS.
\nBut each time there is anything rising against APC, the EFCC would just go
\nand pick the person to hang.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe forceful arrest would not work. Obasanjo did it before and it failed.
\nDSS and EFCC must work for Nigeria and not for a party or an individual.
