Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has\u00a0 revealed the illegal\u00a0\u00a0 plot<\/p>\n
by\u00a0 the\u00a0 Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and INEC National
\nCommissioner,\u00a0 Mrs Amina Zakari\u00a0 to swap authentic\u00a0 results from polling
\nunits with\u00a0 fake results\u00a0 on March 19, 2016.<\/p>\n
Also, Governor\u00a0 Wike\u00a0 declared\u00a0 that any attempt\u00a0 by the Former\u00a0 Governor
\nto move around polling booths\u00a0 on election\u00a0 will be vehemently\u00a0 resisted
\nby the people who will publicly\u00a0 disgrace Amaechi\u00a0 for violating the
\nelectoral guidelines.<\/p>\n
Speaking\u00a0 during\u00a0 the\u00a0 grand finale of the Rivers East Senatorial District
\nCampaign Rally\u00a0 of PDP\u00a0 at Elele\u00a0 in Ikwerre LGA, Governor Wike\u00a0 said:
\n“All those who plan to swap\u00a0 result sheets, may their souls rest in peace.
\nNobody\u00a0 will rig in Rivers State.<\/p>\n
“Anybody\u00a0 who thinks Amaechi\u00a0 will give them result sheets to swap, should
\nbe\u00a0 ready to swap their dead bodies. I have told the REC, you were here
\nbefore, you can’t play\u00a0 games with\u00a0 me “.<\/p>\n
The\u00a0 governor\u00a0 said it is his responsibility\u00a0 to take steps to stop
\npoliticians\u00a0 plotting to rig elections\u00a0 in the\u00a0 state\u00a0 with the connivance
\nof INEC\u00a0 National Commissioner,\u00a0 Mrs Amina Zakari.<\/p>\n
He informed\u00a0 that the\u00a0 University of Port Harcourt Vice Chancellor was
\ncompelled\u00a0 by Amaechi\u00a0 and\u00a0 APC\u00a0 leadership\u00a0 drew up\u00a0 a list of\u00a0 INEC
\nAdhoc staff dominated by\u00a0 former APC\u00a0 caretaker\u00a0 committee\u00a0 chairmen and
\nconfirmed APC\u00a0 members to organise\u00a0 the rerun\u00a0 elections.\u00a0 He announced
\nthe\u00a0 names\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 APC leaders on the list\u00a0 of Adhoc\u00a0 staff.<\/p>\n
He noted that he had written\u00a0 a formal letter with\u00a0 proofs and details\u00a0 to
\nINEC\u00a0 National\u00a0 Chairman,\u00a0 complaining\u00a0 of the issue.<\/p>\n
The governor\u00a0 said that President\u00a0 Buhari\u00a0 should not\u00a0 allow Amaechi
\ncause crisis in the state because\u00a0 of\u00a0 his personal\u00a0 interest.<\/p>\n
In his remarks, National\u00a0 Chairman of the PDP,\u00a0 Senator Ali Modu Sheriff
\nstated that the Rivers\u00a0 State\u00a0 is a PDP state where the people\u00a0 are
\nsatisfied\u00a0 with\u00a0 the\u00a0 performance\u00a0 of\u00a0 the\u00a0 Governor.<\/p>\n
Deputy National Chairman of the PDP,\u00a0 Uche Secondus described\u00a0 Amaechi\u00a0 as
\na confirmed thief who stole Rivers monies\u00a0 which he used to finance APC
\nNational campaigns.<\/p>\n
