Dangote Group\u2019s giant strides in establishing cement plants across Africa<\/p>\n
has attracted commendation of Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines
\nand Power (ECCIMA) which described the conglomerate as an emerging global
\nplayer from Africa.<\/p>\n
President of ECCIMA, Ugochukwu Chime speaking at the weekend during
\nDangote Group\u2019s special day at the 27th Enugu International Trade Fair
\nalso lauded the group for operating in almost every sector of the economy
\nwhile adding a lot of value to the growth of the Nigerian economy.<\/p>\n
He said more of Dangote is all Nigeria needs to be an industrial giant in
\nthe committee of the nation adding that the present challenges facing the
\ncountry presents opportunity to investors to do business in Nigeria
\nespecially Nigerians<\/p>\n
According to him, \u201cDangote Group has gone beyond being a Nigerian
\nconglomerate to an African conglomerate operating in many countries across
\nthe continent. It has demystified the production process, perfected
\nbackward integration and in years to come will become a global player,
\ndeepening the creation of wealth and employment generation.\u201d<\/p>\n
Chime added, \u201cDangote business and entrepreneurship indulgence has spread
\nto many parts of African continent, employing thousands of people across
\nthe world of which not less than 85 percent are Nigerians.\u201d<\/p>\n
Regional Sales Director, South East, Dangote Cement, Tunde Mabogunje who
\nled the Dangote Group team said that the Group has grown from a trading
\ncompany to an integrated manufacturing conglomerate and has succeeded in
\nmaking Nigerian self-sufficient in goods that were been imported in the
\npast. He said that the Group pays attention to quality thereby ensuring
\nthat all products from its stable are of high quality.<\/p>\n
A high point of the special day was the raffle draw by NASCON. Amaka Ude
\nwon the first prize of a microwave oven, Lovina Chukwu won a gas cooker.
\nOther prizes won include blenders and non-stick cooking pots.<\/p>\n
All participants at the special day received free gift packs containing
\nall ranges of products from the Group\u2019s stable as well as free plates of
\ndelicacies prepared with danq seasong cubes.<\/p>\n
Some of the products displayed at the fair include Dangote sugar, Dangote
\nFlour, spaghetti, noodles and macaroni Dangote salt, Danq (seasoning),
\nvarious ranges of fruit juice products and bottled water from Dansa Foods.<\/p>\n
Dangote Sugar offered customers who bought granulated sugar packs at the
\nfair instant lucky dip prizes ranging from plastic buckets to umbrellas
\nand exercise books. All products at the Dangote Pavilion were sold at
\ndiscounted prices.<\/p>\n
Dangote Group is of the view that the trade fair came at an appropriate
\ntime, within the Easter period, where schools are on break. This afforded
\ntraders and dealers the opportunity to buy and stock their shops while
\nparents will buy the items their kids need for school reopening.<\/p>\n
It would be recalled that Dangote Group is making huge investments in oil
\nand gas, in which the Company is building a Refinery capable of refining
\n650, 000 barrels, a petrochemical and fertiliser plants, while also
\nexpanding his Cement business both at home and abroad with construction of
