The National Orientation Agency (NOA) on Tuesday said it had concluded
\nplan to publicise the achievements of the present administration led by
\nPresident Muhammadu Buhari in communities across the country.<\/p>\n
The acting Director-General, Mrs Ngozi Ekeoba, said this during a one-day
\ninteractive session organised by the Agency on Tuesday in Abuja.<\/p>\n
She said that the Agency organised the interactive session to showcase the
\nmilestones of the present administration and to empower its staff with
\nfacts and figures before going to communities for the enlightenment.<\/p>\n
She said \u201cNOA is aware that there are challenges, but the present
\ngovernment has done so much that people need to know and appreciate.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, NOA staff have been adequately informed today for onward
\ndissemination to their immediate constituencies be it Church, Mosque,
\nneighborhood, or even social gatherings.\u201d<\/p>\n
The resource person at the occasion, Mr Samuel Songhul, commended the
\nFederal Government for the achievements so far.<\/p>\n
He particularly mentioned the successes recorded in the fight against
\ninsurgency in the North East as a major achievement.<\/p>\n
According to him, government must be commended for moving military command
\nto Maiduguri for efficient monitoring of the insurgency in that area.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe country has recorded so much successes from this single act,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Songhul said that the fight against corruption by the present government
\nhad revealed a lot about how the nation\u2019s economy was destroyed and
\ncommended the government for the commitment to bring back stolen funds for
\nthe development of the country.<\/p>\n
He also commended the Federal Government for sanitising the civil service
\nand for harping on the need to diversify the economy and turn around the
\nagriculture sector for the good of all.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Mr Charles Nwaorji, the NOA Director, Planning, said the present
\ngovernment had well articulated policies and urged Nigerians to support
\nthe administration.<\/p>\n
