Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammad Sanusi II has blamed the previous<\/p>\n
administration led by Goodluck Jonathan for the lingering economic
\nhardship in Nigeria.<\/p>\n
Sanusi, the former Central Bank of Nigeria governor attributes the current
\nhardship to the way and manner previous administration handled the affairs
\nof the nation.<\/p>\n
He stated this when Nigeria\u2019s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo visited him on
\nSaturday during a working visit to the northern state of Kano.<\/p>\n
Speaking on the economic hardship, Sanusi, however, called on the
\ngovernment to find lasting solution to the hardship.<\/p>\n
The emir also advised government to step up effort in enlightening
\nNigerians on the nation\u2019s economic situation.<\/p>\n
He promised that the emirate council would do same and pleaded with
\nNigerians to bear with the situation, assuring that the hardship would
\nsoon be overcome.<\/p>\n
Also speaking, Osinbajo stressed that the Buhari-led administration was
\ncommitted to transforming the living standard of Nigerians.<\/p>\n
According to him, the Federal Government is doing everything possible to
\novercome the challenge soon.<\/p>\n
He told the emir that he was in the state to sympathise with the state
\ngovernment, Emirate Council and the entire people of the state on the
\nrecent fire outbreak at the Abubakar Rimi Market.<\/p>\n
