Walid Jibril as its substantive chairman of the Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A former Minister of Transportation, Chief Ojo Maduekwe was appointed secretary.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The decision was reached this afternoon at a meeting in abuja.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Walid was the party&#8217;s acting national secretary before his appointment today.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The BoT had been at daggers drawn with embattled chairman, Ali Midi-Sheriff, over his plot to remain in office beyond the convention.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Maduekwe told <a href=\"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">pointblanknews.com<\/a> recently that he and his colleagues would never support Modu-Sheriff.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The chairman had made subterranean efforts to stifle the BoT when he made a\u00a0 proposal for the amendment of the party&#8217;s constitution.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The move was to ensure the Board does not meet without informing the chairman and disclosing it&#8217;s agenda.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Two days ago Jerry Gana led a group of the party&#8217;s bigwigs to call on the chairman to exit this month.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The PDP\u00a0 has named Sen.
