{"id":49818,"date":"2016-06-01T23:43:07","date_gmt":"2016-06-01T22:43:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=49818"},"modified":"2016-06-01T23:43:07","modified_gmt":"2016-06-01T22:43:07","slug":"pdp-bot-storms-party-secretariat-sacks-sheriff-makarfi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/pdp-bot-storms-party-secretariat-sacks-sheriff-makarfi\/","title":{"rendered":"PDP: BOT storms party secretariat, sacks Sheriff, Makarfi"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"mailview-right\" class=\"offset uibox\">\n<div id=\"messagecontent\">\n<div class=\"leftcol\">\n<div id=\"messagebody\">\n<div class=\"message-htmlpart\">\n<div class=\"rcmBody\">\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\nThe PDP \u00a0Board of Trustees today sacked both Ali Modu-Sheriff and the chairman, caretaker committee, Ahmed Makarfi.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Pointblanknews.com learnt that the Wada Jibrin led Board stormed the \u00a0National Secretariat, Abuja, and declared that both men henceforth \u00a0seize to have any leadership role in the party.<\/p>\n<p>Jibrin said consequently, the BOT had taken over the running of the party.<br \/>\nHe said that the action of the BOT became imperative in order not to allow vacuum in the party\u2019s operations as well as to resolve the leadership crisis within the party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, the BOT remains the only legal body now in the whole set up and that is why we are here to play our role,\u201d Mr. Jibrin said.<br \/>\n\u201cWe are not here to take over the secretariat. We are here to perform our duties as enshrined in the constitution, hoping that our problems will be resolved soon.<br \/>\n\u201cWe, the BOT have taken it upon ourselves to ensure we play a great role in resolving the problems.<br \/>\n\u201cWe have gone very far in resolving them. We have made some contacts and consultations.<br \/>\n\u201cWe are not here to cast blame on anybody. If it means to go to anybody to solve the problem, we will do so.\u2019\u2019<\/p><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>BOT Secretary, Ojo Maduekwe, said the BOT intervened because of litigations surrounding the national caretaker committee set up in Port Harcourt on May 21, at its national convention.<br \/>\n\u201cConcerning the national caretaker committee, the matter is being resolved.<\/p>\n<p>According to Jibrin\u00a0\u201cThe PDP has come to stay. PDP will never die,\u201d he said. PDP will continue to rule.We are only on sabbatical leave and once the sabbatical is over, we are going to take over our leadership because it is our own. We are going back in 2019.
