The deadly Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), has called on President Muhammadu<\/p>\n
Buhari to leave the comfort of Aso Rock and visit the oil rich by
\ncrisis-scarred Niger Delta region to see things for himself if he was
\nready and sincere about the peace overtures.<\/p>\n
The group listed the places the President must visit for assessments of
\nthe underdevelopment and environmental degradation plaguing them.<\/p>\n
According to the group, such visit would enable him know the
\nill-treatments meted out to the people of the region by successive
\ngovernment at the center and the multinational oil firms.<\/p>\n
This is contained in a statement by its spokesman, Brigadier General
\nModuch Agbinibo and made available to Pointblanknews.com.<\/p>\n
The statement said: \u2018\u2019The President should visit Ugborodo host to
\nChevron crude oil Export terminal\/EGTL gas plant, Ogulagha host to Shell
\nForcados Crude Oil Export terminal\/tank farm, Bonny Island host to Shell
\nBonny Crude Oil Export terminal\/NLNG gas terminal, Brass host to Agip\/ENI
\nexport terminal, Ibeno host to ExxonMobil Qua Iboe crude export terminal.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019These are just the export terminals not talking about the numerous oil
\nand gas flow stations and the oil Wells that crisscross the length and
\nbreadth of the Niger delta.<\/p>\n
\u2018\u2019Mr. President come and see for yourself what the host communities are
\ngoing through in the hands of Nigeria government and the multinationals.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
The Avengers have equally asked President Buhari to explain how he is
\ngoing to fund the proposed North East Development Commission.<\/p>\n
Reactions to the Avengers\u2019 tweets were varied. While some respondents
\nsupported the bombings of more pipelines; others carpeted the rampaging
\ngroup over its nefarious activities.<\/p>\n
