A group, Abia Progressive Alliance (APA) says it has uncovered a plot to
\nbribe the Judge of the Federal High Court, Owerri, Justice I.A. Alagoa who
\nis set to deliver judgment on the tax forgery suit against Gov. Okezie
\nIkpeazu, on Friday 8th July, 2016.<\/p>\n
The group alleged that Ikpeazu has secured a N20 billion financial war
\nchest to bribe all the Judges hearing the tax forgery suit against him, up
\nto the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n
National Coordinator of the group, Nnaemeka Ukpabi and Publicity Secretary,
\nChidi Ekechi, who stated this in Umuahia decried the increasing desperation
\nby Governor Okezie Ikpeazu to employ all antics to cling to the position
\nand urged him to allow the Judge to deliver justice on the matter.<\/p>\n
The group accused the Abia Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice,
\nChief Umeh Kalu of being the arrow head of the plot to bribe Judges hearing
\nthe tax forgery suit against the governor to ensure that his accusers are
\nfrustrated.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur attention has been drawn to a plot spearheaded by the Attorney General
\nand Commissioner for Justice, Abia State, Chief Umeh kalu to bribe the
\npresiding Judge of the Federal High Court, Owerri, Justice I.A. Alagoa to
\ndeliver a favourable judgment to Gov.Okezie Ikpeazu. This is one of the
\nmany antics the governor had employed in his desperate bid to hold on to
\nhis position and escape the impending prosecution over the forgery of his
\ntax documents. We warn that any attempt to occasion a miscarriage of
\njustice will set Abia state on fire.\u201d<\/p>\n
The group urged Judges who are hearing the tax forgery suit to emulate
\nJustice Okon Abang of the Federal Court 10, Abuja and dispense justice
\nwithout fear or favour.<\/p>\n
It further threatened to petition the National Judicial Council (NJC)
\nagainst Umeh Kalu who will soon be conferred with the prestigious status of
\na Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN). \u201dUmeh Kalu is not a fit and proper
\nperson to be conferred with the prank of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria
\n(SAN).He has a reputation for bribing Judges.\u00a0 We will soon expose all the
