WOMEN from Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West Council Area of Delta State on Wednesday marched through the streets over the continued detention of 10 youths nabbed by the military.<\/div>\n
The youths which the women say are students were labeled as members of the rampaging Niger Delta Avengers, who are busy destroying oil and gas pipelines in Delta State and parts of the Niger Delta region.<\/div>\n
Pointblanknews.com had exclusively reported the arrest of the 10 youths by the military in a major operation to crackdown on militants\u2019 activities in riverside communities.<\/div>\n
But the women have expressed fear that the youths may have been killed by the military reportedly arrested about 46 days ago.<\/div>\n
To this end, they have given President Muhammadu Buhari one week ultimatum to release them as they have spent 46 days in the custody of the soldiers and have been kept incommunicado.<\/div>\n
The women, most of whom are mothers of the arrested students who have been denied sitting for their WAEC and NECO exams, marched through The NPA axis of the busy Warri\/Sapele road on Wednesday<\/span>.<\/div>\n
They were dressed in black attires and armed with placards, denouncing the continued detention of the boys whose whereabouts has been kept away from their parents and guardian.<\/div>\n

The women were accompanied by members of the Association of Gbaramatu Students, who also appealed to Buhari to immediately effect the release of the teenagers whom they said were not members of the NDA.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
