Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), may have changed it tactics from bombings to<\/p>\n
kidnapping as it has threatened to attack workers of American oil giants,
\nExxonMobil Nigeria Unlimited.<\/p>\n
This is coming on the heels of alleged bombing last Monday, of the
\ncompany\u2019s Que Iboe 48-inch Crude Oil Export Pipeline which the oil firm
\ndenied through its spokesperson, Todd Spitler, who said that \u2018\u2019there was
\nno attack on our facilities\u2019\u2019, describing what happened as a \u2018\u2019system
\nanomaly\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n
Besides, the group also restated its warning to oil firms operating in the
\nregion not to repair any of its facilities destroyed or face dire
\nconsequences for disobedience.<\/p>\n
It warned that Exxon Mobil to learn from Shell Petroleum Development
\nCompany (SPDC) and not repair the pipeline until the federal government
\nheed to their demands, adding if the firm fails to listen to them \u2018\u2019 your
\npersonnel are going to be our next casualties, not pipelines.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a statement titled \u2018\u2019ExxonMbbil, Stop Deceiving the World\u2019\u2019 by its
\nspokesperson, \u2018Brigadier General\u2019 Mudoch Agbinibo said: \u201cExxonMobil can
\ndeny and fool the general public about their Export Pipeline blown
\nyesterday. How long can they lie to their investors? Just in matter of
\ndays, the whole world will see the truth. Qua Iboe 48\u201d crude oil export
\npipeline is down so said the Avengers.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we published that the Qua Iboe 48-inch crude oil export line was
\nblown by us , ExxonMobil denied it, but now ExxonMobil has admitted that
\nthe 48\u201d pipeline that Niger Delta Avengers blew up is \u201cSystem Anomaly.\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe urged them to follow the path of safety by admitting it that was
\nblown, but ExxonMobil not admitting it to their traders\/international
\nrefineries is none of our business. It will become our business when
\nExxonMobil carries out repair work on the blown pipeline. When that time
\ncomes, it will not be ExxonMobil declaring force majeure, but it is going
\nto be something worse.<\/p>\n
\u201cExxonMobil and Akwa Ibom government can deny Niger Delta Avengers is not
\nin Akwa Ibom state but we want them to know that one of our elite strike
\nteams is based in Akwa Ibom state. We are warning ExxonMobil not to
\ncarry out any repair work on the blown pipeline, if they refuse and go
\nahead with any repair work, something big and worse will happen.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo the traders\/international refineries doing business with them, do not
\nlet ExxonMobil deceive you that the repair work will take three to four
\nweeks, with the level of damage. it will take them (ExxonMobil) months to
\nfix it.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
ExxonMobil on Friday declared a force majeure on exports of crude oil
\nafter observing a \u2018system failure\u2019 during a routine check of its loading
\nfacility.
\nThe oil firm said: \u201cWe are working to ensure loading activities at the
\nfacility return to normal. We cannot speculate on any timeline for
\nrepairs, Qua Iboe Terminal is operating and production activities
\ncontinue\u2019\u2019, stating that \u2018\u2019 there was no connection between the force
