\r\nFormer Inspector General of Police (IGP) Solomon Arase has denied taking\r\naway 24 police vehicles as being alleged by his successor Ibrahim Idris.\r\n\r\nArase who has been in London, UK since a week after his disengagement for\r\nhis son's graduation said in a statement on Monday that every information\r\nneeded by his successor on vehicles bought by the police are in his\r\nhand-over notes.\r\n\r\nHe said all vehicles bought by the police under him were distributed to\r\nthe state commands and other appropriate units of the force. He also\r\ndenied getting any letter from Idris since he has been in the UK.\r\n\r\n\" I suspect there must be a disconnect somewhere because every information\r\nneeded by my successor are provided in my hand-over notes. I'm also not\r\naware that any letter was written to me because if there was any dropped\r\nin my house, someone would have alerted me.\r\n\r\n\"It's unfortunate that this matter is being made a media issue because my\r\nsuccessor has my telephone number and could have called me for any\r\nclarification or even sent me a text message rather than addressing the\r\nmedia on an issue well documented in my hand-over notes \", Arase\r\nexplained.\r\n\r\n<\/pre>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
