President Muhammadu Buhari has said none of his Ministers, Government
\nofficials or Aides are corrupt, vowing not to sack anyone accused of
\nCorruption except the courts find them guilty.<\/p>\n

He lampooned the media for accusing officials of his Government of
\ncorruption insisting that none of his Ministers have any case in Court for
\ncorruption.<\/p>\n

Buhari challenged anyone with evidence of corruption against any of his
\nMinisters to come forward.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think I tolerate corruption, I don\u2019t think I picked anybody that
\nI know will embarrass my government. But if you have any evidence about
\nany of my ministers, I accept responsibility for the 36 ministers that I
\nhave.
\nI don\u2019t think I took anybody among the ministers who has got a case in
\ncourt. Tell me one out of the 36. I don\u2019t think I will deliberately make
\nthat mistake\u201d, he said. Asked if he would sack any of the ministers if he
\nor she is charged to court for corruption, he said: \u201cNo, I will insist
\nthat the case go through the courts.\u201d
\nAlso, in a statement signed by Presidential Spokesman, Femi Adesina,
\nBuhari appealed to discerning Nigerians to ignore orchestrated attempts to
\nsully the integrity of ministers and other senior government officials,
\nwho are being tarred with the brush of corruption without any concrete
\nevidence.<\/p>\n

Reacting to reports, particularly by online media, that the immediate past
\nGroup Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation
\n(NNPC), who is also Minister of State for Petroleum, Dr Ibe Kachikwu, is
\nbeing investigated over crude oil swap deals and gas liftings during his
\ntenure as GMD of the petroleum corporation, President Buhari appealed for
\ndecent and civilized comments, particularly when it has to do with the
\nintegrity of those who are serving the country.<\/p>\n

“Terrible and unfounded comments about other people’s integrity are not
\ngood. We are not going to spare anybody who soils his hands, but people
\nshould please wait till such individuals are indicted,” the President
\nsaid.<\/p>\n

President Buhari reiterated the administration’s commitment to probity,
\naccountability and integrity, promising that transparency remains a
\nwatchword, which would never be trifled with.<\/p>\n

Recall that Chief of Army Staff Lt. General Yusuf Tukur Burutai, Mallam
\nAbba Kyari, Abdullrahman Dambazzau, Abubakar Malami, Audu Ogbe, Heneiken
\nLokpobiri and a host of many others in the Buhari’s Government have been
