A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Delta State, Chief Chris<\/p>\n
Agbobu has taken a swipe at Chief Hyacinth Enuha for scoring the Governor
\nof Delta State, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa low in the provision of
\namenities.
\nAddressing a press conference in Asaba yesterday, the former Minister for
\nstate for Defence who was accompanied by indigenes of Aniocha South local
\ngovernment area of the state, disclosed that the response was important
\nbecause, the said Chief Enuha hails from his local government area.
\n\u201cIn the said statement reported by some newspapers, Enuha said to be a
\nchieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), expressed disappointment
\nwith Governor Okowa on the provision of infrastructure and \u2018basic
\namenities,\u201d Chief Agbobu said, observing, \u201ccoming from a man whose party
\nhas no structure in Delta State and has sensationally failed to execute
\nany project at the federal level, Enuha was only trying to divert
\nattention from the pervading general discontent and feeling of dejection
\namong Nigerians over the inept rulership of the APC as his journey into
\ndeceit is aptly demonstrated by the fact that he picked on issues where
\nSenator Okowa has excelled among his peers.\u201d
\nHe noted that Governor Okowa has recorded a string of achievements in the
\nprovision of infrastructure, empowerment of youths, rejuvenating technical
\neducation, construction of over fifty four roads, among others,
\nemphasising, \u201cas an astute administrator and committed leader, Delta State
\nis immensely lucky to have him Dr Okowa at the helms of affairs at these
\nchallenging times.\u201d
\nWhile scoring Governor Okowa high in terms of delivery on electoral
\npromises, Chief Agbobu asserted, \u201cEnuha knows too well that Governor Okowa
\nhas defied logic with the string of achievements recorded within one year
\nof his taking over the reins of government against the backdrop of huge
\ndecline in revenue; so cheap and puerile is Enuha\u2019s propaganda that he is
\nalso oblivious of projects cited even in his backyard, his community in
\nOgwashi-Uku where a number of projects such as the Agidiasei-Edo road with
\ndrainage which passes through Enuha\u2019s village, renovation of schools in
\nAniocha South local government area, rehabilitation\/construction of the
\n7.5 kilometre Ogwashi-Uku\/Ubulu-Unor\/Ubulu-Uku road, among others are
\nlocated.\u201d
\n\u201cAs for his illusory expectation that some serial political
\ncross-carpeters like himself who have now made the APC their latest abode
\nwill change the fortunes of the party in the state, Enuha is living in
\nfalse dream where he routinely expects that Deltans will at some point
\nfall for his delusion and deceit; Enuha will do well to appeal to his
\nparty leadership at the federal level which has fantastically
\nshort-changed the people by crippling the economy and driving businesses
\nand foreign investors to extinction to retrace their steps and put the
